Are you talking about collision surfaces? Like, grass for grass,

or gravel effects for gravel? ColEditorII

Ok, you sorted your crashes, and now about surfaces. Do you mean

like... the sounds and effects like driving on gravel or running on metal?

Or are you referring to something different. Pretty sure SurfInfo.DAT

handles the water break on the coast, or something like that (don't

remember). I don't think it controls object surfaces unless you are

talking about water planes?

Quite good at messing me, Bearzi! sly.gif

You want to change the col material. You will need Coleditor II by Steve-M . Run Coleditor II, open the col-file of your choice, switch to edit mode, go to faces mode, select the faces you would like to edit, and change the material assigned to it.

As a help I made a Colmap . It's an ingame overview of all the col materials. The numbers are the same as used in CEII.
