mikesta
I think the green circle around the map is a pretty gay (no offense) replacement for a life guage or percentage... tagamaynila
It seems that everyone who's previewing the game has their own take on LC's actual size. We can't be sure if it's actually 3/4 of SA because everyone is just eyeballing it and coming up with a number. The only thing were sure of is that it's smaller area wise than SA because it was mentioned by Rockstar if i remember correctly. TheRoper
say u took half instead of 3/4, that would be 200 x 200, which only be 1/2 of each side, which will only be 1/4 of the whole map... u did 9/16 of the map, which is only like 56% of the map... i think nlitenment has it right... Hehe, it all makes sense now. Stupid me. But as tagamaynila pointed out above me, I think the exact size is still undetermined. Magic_Al
The circular health bar is good. For one thing this makes it longer without being wider, so you can see smaller increments of damage and repair. It will also be nice visually to have armor strength as a ring around your health, as it is protection around your body. Another possibility is both rings could indicate the direction of damage, and a hole in your armor in one direction would make you vulnerable in that direction. STARS
is it me or does it not make sense for Niko to send a resume with his real information on it to the law firm? Quick way to get ID'd by law enforcement as the killer. "Anyway, Niko navigates to the Goldberg Ligner & Shyster website so he can submit his resume. A fake one, obviously, that says his objective is to (and we quote), "rise to the top of my profession in Liberty City" - he claims to have experience in criminal law with cases such as manslaughter under his belt, claims that he deals with emerging markets in the West Indies (particularly 'Jamaica and Puerto Rico'), claims to have been associate attorney at Mediterranean Shipping Enterprise, and even an intern at a police force - but best, it says he was educated at 'Walford University', UK with an MA in international relations and a first class degree to boot. MMFF
Thanks. Can someone explain to me what they mean by "centered in the middle of the road"? EDIT: Never mind, I got it. Yeah, I didn't get that. You will be centered in the center of the road, if you follow all the driving laws. I think the first thing I may do will be to switch it to the classic view. I like to be centered on the car. AndyGanteks
I'm off for 3 days, and its already a mess here...Thats bad very bad Now back on topic- I wonder why they did post that comment next to that picture ''most key gameplay feats...'' ''Francis Mc Creary(he has a dirt on you ,referencing a hit you probably made earlier in the game'' Anybody remembers earlier we saw a mag say''police will remember your acts, people will remember your aacts''.Just wanted to point it out. Bruinfany2k
The best solution for the camera would be to have the ability to set your own custom camera views. But I guess that wont happen. Many times, games dont have the most logical features. This is a topic since when? But it would be easy and convenient to allow user to place camera anywhere I agree. in the IGN, or Kilzo (can't remember which one) preveiw it said that they have multiple camera angles, so this really should not be an issue. Bruinfany2k
My map's correct.. The whole image is 400*400 = 160 000. sqrt(160 000*0.75) = 346.410162, making the red area roughly 346x346, or roughly 119716, or roughly 3/4 * (400*400). Bah . You can add up the remainding 1/4 to 120000.. (54 * 348) + (400 * 55) + 120 000 = 160 792 So, yeah, it might look slightly bigger than you might expect of a 3/4, but mathematically, it's accurate. 3/4s of 400x400 is quite obviously 300x300. Square-roots are applied before multiplication. No, heh, it's 3/4 of SA's AREA. Now, SA's area in that picture is 400 times 400 pixels, which is 160000 pixels, mmkay? Now multiply that by .75 and you get 3/4 of the total area, 160000*.75 = 120000. Now for me to be able to draw a square of it, I need to find out the square root.. sqrt(120000) ≈ 346. So, now I open up a new file in Photoshop, 346x346, fill it with red, then copypasta it into the original one. Voilà, a red square that represents 3/4 of the AREA, not the width or height. I may have had trouble in algebra but that part actually made sense. But really his logic of 3/4 being 300X300 is not wrong at all, I just wanted him to know that he is not wrong by saying that but since you were looking for the sqrt you had to do some extra math. Coral_City
The way I see it is: MASSIVE AMOUNT OF LAND ~ Nothing to do SMALL AMOUNT OF LAND ~ Tons to do Which is why GTAIII's Liberty City locale was something I favoured. I loved how the city was just so "alive", in comparison to the other two games in the 3D series. No matter how far you went, there would always be something going on. Even in San Andreas, Rockstar implemented 'new'-ish features (such as random police chases) but that failed a tad bit. Point being...let the detail immerse players -- not how big the f*cking game is gonna be. Goony Goon Goon
If LC is 3/4, thet means, there is no desert, as everyone has said, but also no idiotic mountain and no little isolated town! excuse me but i think you may be an idiot Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/288307-psm-usa-september-issue/page/3/#findComment-4428746 Share on other sites
Singey
I think that the map and health bar would look something like this and that when health is lost the bar round the edge slowly falls http://media.teamxbox.com/games/ss/490/1033576434.jpg Thats from MoH Frontline and of course there would be a small map where the compass is. The same system would work well. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/288307-psm-usa-september-issue/page/3/#findComment-4428797 Share on other sites

Snake Without a Tongue
3/4 of SA sounds pretty f*cking huge for one city. For me it's "satisfactory". I would've been happy with a to-scale Manhattan. I think they gayed it up with trying to recreate Brooklyn, etc. Like with SA when they tried to stick Vegas, San Fran and LA all into one big pile. AZAZEL
I'm kind of confused about the camera view. Will it be to the left of the car or over the car? Sorry if it was already discussed. It'll probably just be centered over the driver's side of the car, where Niko is sitting - not over the center of the road, or to the left of the car as been suggested. Ryunday
You can play pool/billiards. Headshots actually kill people this time. HUD contains health bar that goes around the map There are customizable sniper rifles. You can "blind fire" while taking cover Thanks for scanning these. YES!!! I always wanted that in GTA IV and the rest of the info is f*cking sweet too. @ topic starter Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/288307-psm-usa-september-issue/page/3/#findComment-4460726 Share on other sites
