Nah, that ain't it.

lol, perfect example of not what to post in WD lol.gif

I found it anyhow, it was called Eggshells

Didn't get any feedback sadly, only a couple pointers off saltinespike.

Never mind, I think my current story is going far better than any of my others so far tounge.gif

Man, I'm still writing my first chapter, it's gonna be a long one.

Reflecting on all I've written, it's a sad story, and that really wasn't the intention. It was supposed to be action, but I'll have to build on that.

Ronmar The Only

Alright, I will hopefully have at least part of November Nights Part Due out over the weekend. I might post different scenes at first and post new parts every day or just post it all in one lump sum. The thing is, I don't believe people actually read the entire story. I would really love to know just how many people read all of The Harlot or November Nights Part One.

Anyways, the reason for the delay was because I picked up a Boys and Girls Club job....which may be strange for those who read my little story.

But, I have decided I will have at least two more little plot lines in the L'Asso di Cuori | The Ace of Hearts because I will work on a full length plot after that. And I have some ideas for other stories which I might write up for this.

After about a month of dithering, ignoring, and being busy doing real life stuff, the latest installment of The Diary is up. There'll almost certainly only be one or two more; I can't help but feel it's not as interesting as I planned, but I'm gonna stick it out and see where it ends.

Lethal Nizzle

An unexpected update for A Green State of Affairs.

Like I've said a few times, I was lying in bed brainstorming, as you do ( tounge.gif ) and I came up with this idea for the chapter. No flashbacks, just pure action. Here's a brief summary;

Matt and co. arrive at The Thistle Arms to take down Alec McEllis. When they get in, tensions stir and a fight breaks out, Wild West saloon-esque. Two familiar faces manage to scramble out of the riot and scarper.

The fight between the two brothers and Alec move into the alley next to the pub. Using the plan Danny had made earlier, Dee blocks Alec's path out of the alley. But instead of slamming into the car like planned, something else happens to the escaping Alec. Something a lot more sinister.

Update on my writing.

Necrophiliac is binned. I only released an exerpt here, so I'll go ahead and sum up the entire story. He goes to his wife's grave at the beginning, digs her up, has sexual intercourse with her in his car (which isn't actually detailed. Sorry, Oxi), goes back home, finds a VHS tape which his wife made that details how she found out about his necrophilia and that she wants him to try to date other women after she passes on. He dates one woman, convinces himself that he's cheating on his dead wife by doing so, digs up her grave, crawls into the casket with her, and shoots himself.

Sunday Drive, a project I have released no information about, is also binned. It was going to follow a father and son. They head up into the mountains for a camping trip, but are attacked by a pack of wolves and get lost in the forest while trying to escape. They spend one week in the forest, finding their campsite again on Sunday. Once they get into the truck, the son lays back and closes his eyes. We peak into the father's thoughts, and find out that his mind has snapped. He is convinced that his son is taking all the work he did for granted, that his son is a lazy sinner, that he did nothing to help them while they were stranded. He ends up driving off the mountains, killing both him and his son.

I'm going to go back to my original novella, Arguments of Insanity. If you don't remember what it's about, search through this topic or just wait and find out when I release the first chapter.

Stared to write I Smell Smoke

I Promise you, it will be the most psychologically terrifying story to ever come to Writer's Discussion.

Ran the ending by Oxi, he described it as:

The boy who sold: That's pretty nasty!

The boy who sold: Ugh. That's horrific. You've got one hell of a good thing there.

Expect a preview soon

The second part of November Nights is up. I would love to have some new feed back on the characters and how the writing is. Anyways, hopefully I will have a working script for the next part here in a few days.

Seriously, would everyone just stop talking about potential projects? Every single one of you hypes up something with plenty of grandeur and yet you time after time fail to deliver the goods. Oxi, honest to god, stop talking about all of these absolutely pointless things to do with your ideas and pieces. Character pictures, soundtrack snippets - it's all got nothing to do with writing. Write it, or shut up - it's been months since you announced these ideas and continually hyped them, but there's no product.

Pat, I looked at your last post and just saw that you've binned projects. What's the point in announcing them, then? People need to stop discussing their 'amazing' ideas and just write something; talk about it when you're ready to show something.

And hyperbolic statements, for example, 'the most ___ story ever in writer's discussion' (I'm not looking at anyone in particular) are just pathetic. I'm going to be honest. No, it's not. It's not the most ___ story ever in writer's discussion.

I've become a bit annoyed by that as well. Although I think it's fine to announce potential pieces, don't hype it up and then not deliver. I absolutely hate how this place, which once was truly for writers' discussion, is now just a showcase for ideas for products that don't happen. Either way, if you've got an idea for a story, announce it as an "idea", not an "update". Furthermore, don't brag about that idea and just develop it. If it doesn't become a story, no sense in bragging about it in the first place. Don't announce an idea as a "writer update" and then not follow through.

I'm just going to point out that I do that... but I also deliver

I know your not aiming anything at me, but Eminence kinda did (Even though he denies it) tounge.gif

It's like kingdom, you made the banner, what? Months ago, obviously it's going now, but you did what you just said your annoyed about?

So let me just get this right, if I say that Ive began to write a piece, and tell you all a bit about it to show it off, that's wrong, but posting that I've updated it is also wrong?

It wasn't directed at you at all. You actually do what you say you're going to do.

Same with Kingdom. I was working on it at the time I made the banner, and because I was sure I was going to post it, I put it in "updates" rather than "ideas".

Nothing wrong with that, but if it's just an idea, leave it in the "ideas" thread. If you're actually writing it and you want to let people know how progress is going, that is an update. But don't flood the updates thread with continuous bragging about this and that in a certain piece, and then cancel the piece when all is said and done.

Like I said, this isn't directed at anyone in particular, just at the general writing community here.

Oh right, well in that case I have to agree... were not bitching or anything lads, it's always exciting to see pieces heading our way, but you gotta deliver, you gotsta gotsta gotsta deliver!

If you have a sick arse idea, then theres a sick arse topic for it... but if it's in progress then welcome to Wirter's updates

Recently it's seemed to me at times that there's been two Writer's Ideas topics going on, for no good reason. The sort of stuff you are discussing is, in my opinion at least, fine for the actual Writer's Ideas thread, but when it starts to spill over into Updates... yeah, it can get annoying.

Well by accident i wrote my ideas in here once as an update, and i apologize for that. I'll make sure to follow what you posted.

As for an update. I cancelled "the crypt" because i thought it was going to end up into a boring plot, so i decided that i should keep writing "The Man Who Once Spoke" for now. As for the future. I'm planning on writing another story after i finish Part 2 or Part 3 of "The Man Who Once Spoke" but i'm far from finish so it may take a while.

That's discouraging as it is motivating. But then I remembered; I can't be bothered to write. All I can say is I'm sort of working on it.

Jesus man, that must be a lot of work and slow-updating. Of course i see that you focus more on San Andreas Stories then the other writing stories, but that must be because it's a long peice of writing.

As for an update, i'm starting to lose interest in "The Man Who Once Spoke." I think the story is way too long, and i have other ideas to share with the writing section. I'll see what happens but don't expect me to go all the way with it. I think i'm going to shorten Part 2 and end it for a while. Then later on, i'll write the next part and continue to what i was planning out. Sorry to those who like the story, but i seriously need a break from writing that one story. Expect more chapters for Part 2 to come and after that, we'll see what happens.

f*ck it, I'm just gonna post a 1st chapter later on tonight.

I don't know when to stop writing, but I think I've got more than enough for chapter 1.

I'm not sure how awesome my first Writer's Discussion story will be. It's just something I started writing one night and it's shaping up.

Rather than wait to post the story and be all secretive, I'll post the plot and you guys tell me what you think. This is a real quick summary...

Two brothers rob a corner store in Boston, and in the process kill a young boy. That child turns out to be the nephew of one of the dirtiest, most corrupt cops in Massachusetts. Now, the Castillo brothers are on the run from the law and a bent cop out for blood.

I got other ideas in the works already. If this story blows, I'll move on to better things.

Wow that sounds really good! No joke, i like the story plot already. I guess "No Country for Old Men" inspired you in some way. I expect references Don Garcia biggrin.gif

I gotta stop torturing you with No Country references

Sounds pretty cool mate.

I found it easier to write a sh*tload, and then divide it up. That way, you can post the first installment or two, and then you don't feel as much immediate pressure to hurry with your writing.
