It runs the game at light speed and Im wondering is there a fix, ar a command I can enter to address this? When I run the game, the character moves very fast and dies when he runs into things... its like the game is running super fast. Im pretty sure its because of the dual core processors in my machine. Im looking for a fix for this? Most games have a config file you can manipulate that will allow you to tell the game to run on one core instead of two. Fire up GTAIII, ALT+TAB out, open Task Manager via CTRL+ALT+DEL, in the Processes tab, right-click gta3.exe and set its affinity to just a single core (untick all but one box). I really did search manually through many forums pages.. many searches online.. and nothing.. If this is such a very common problem the answers are not very easy to find. I must thank you for your reply here as it did help me solve my problem, but on the flip side, why cant you people that run around these forums be a little more curteous to those of us politely asking for some assistance... it seams its always such a big deal to help someone these days. I have the same processor and I understand what you're saying about the game going incredibly fast (I was getting upwards of 400 frames per second at 1600x1200 according to FRAPS).
