Can anyone recommend some good house tracks/albums that are actually house? I'm not talking about the 'house' being made today which is actually more like electro house.

You might have heard of Daft Punk, their albums "Homework" and "Discovery" do have that 90s house sound you are looking for.

Check out all the stuff from the record label 'Roulé' (dw, only about 10-15 releases). It's Thomas Bangalter's record label. He is half of Daft Punk. Also, Music Sounds Better and all the tracks with Roulette picture in the videos above are from Roulé

 

Guy Hommem (the other half of Daft) has his own record label of french/filter house called 'Crydamoure'.

#1 That stupid DJ list is bullsh*t because they just name the most popular 'DJs'.

 

#2 David Guetta is a piece of sh*t that doesn't even DJ, he just plays recorded music and acts like a DJ

 

#3 Even when he does DJ, I have friends that are better DJs than him

 

#4 He plays mainstream crap

 

#5 The same can be said about Armen van buuren and a lot of those pieces of sh*t.

 

 

Conclusion: Putting David Guetta as the #1 DJ is an insult to proper DJs and it's exactly the same as putting Lil Wayne #1 on a list of the 100 greatest guitar plaers.

They both represent everything wrong with the music industry. Creating bland, uninspired tunes for the masses to lap up as they hum-de-dum about their day. No inspiration or pushing the boundaries.

 

Anyway, negativity aside, what I've been nodding my head to on the bus recently.

 

 

 

This track could have came out today, amazing how fresh it still sounds. Strictly Rhythm is must-listen label for you Warlord if you're exploring what house music has to offer.

 

 

 

Makes studying bearable.

So...anyone going to Ultra Music Festival next year in Miami?

 

I was in Miami last year on holiday the week before the festival started, so experienced all of Miami Music Week, seeing DJ's like Avicii, Steve Aoki and Axwell play in different clubs around the city. We were very regretful that we didn't stay for the festival but we planned our trip very poorly in that regard.

 

Anyway, I bought a double weekend pass and I cannot wait. Just interested to see if anyone else is planning on attending.
