Teqila
The site should work on your PS3 browser: http://www.speedtest.net/index.php Post your average speeds here. I have Verizon FiOS that's suposed to be 5 megabits per second on the dowlnoad and 2 on the upload. Both my PS3 and laptop are wirelessly connected. This one is from my laptop: This is from my PS3: I find it hard to believe that my PS3 is more than twice as fast as my computer and internet service. Sixdust
Can't touch this (Cue MC Hammer) Oh ship, just did another one, awesome! The reason your speed is higher from your PS3 is higher is because it is connected properly to your connection. The laptop has a latency of 716ms , something is wrong with your setup for browsing. As for getting higher speeds? I think that FiOS can get higher speeds than your package because I just did it myself. It's just a matter of the cap that verizon puts on your connection. My package is the 20Mbits download and 5Mbits upload, so yeah. Edited July 18, 2007 by Sixdust

I don't own a PS3, but why would the PS3 get better speeds? I could always ask my neighbor/friend with a PS3 and FiOS to test it, if you really want to test your theory. The most likely answer is that something is wrong with your laptops browsing and/or the PS3 has different protocools? Though I have used the PS3's web browser, and I have to say it was rather clunky and slow. I haven't re tried it though in over a month, so maybe a new patch changed it? I don't know exactly why myself but I made my PS3 a DMZ host and forwarded ports for it. It's probably a glitch with the site that it's not ompletely compatible with the PS3.
