majorlance
What tools would one use to modify CJ? I have SA, SanAnstudios, fraps, etc. But for the video I want to make I wish to change CJ into a bald (or balding..think of the title character in the Transporter movies) James Bond type with suit or tuxedo and mustache+goatee. What tools should I acquire to make that happen? I have searched for tutorials for this subject through Yahoo & Google, but I have not come across any. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
dertyjerzian
Well, that could be as easy as a TXD edit for you. Making this topic means that you weren't ready for the google of "changing textures help san andreas", that being the case, I'll assume you'll need a little lingo. The 3D models that games use have pictures UVW Mapped (read: arranged and pasted ) on them to give them their color and most detail. Those pictures are called textures. In GTA3 games, the GTA3.IMG archive file holds more archives that are of filetype TXD. Texture directories have the images use to texture the models. The ones you are looking for are *somewhere* in the img file player.img Download TXD workshop here. I'd suggest editing the Cesar haircut, use a copy-pasted new layer and slowly add it into view using the opacity controls of whatever paint solution you are currently using. Just something to try. In my head right now, I think you could make the top of his head's hair look quite thinning as you get to the 25 to 50 percent visible range. Post pics and embed a youtube of your movie when you're done
majorlance
Thanks, dertyjerzian....I wasn't sure if I should shell out cash for something like Poser 7 or not..I will follow your suggestion.
dertyjerzian
SHell out anything for anything you know that you will use! You know? If it's there I mean, when the cash is there. Yea, i figured just pop into the barber shop and change the head dressing on his mug there. I totally assumed that SanAnStudios (right-clicked, added to dictionary ) ran along with the game and getting a hair cut is possible. Is it? I tried SAS a couple times and managed to crash it without doing anything past three or four button presses I'd carry out favors to SanAnStudio producers that needed sets or props if in return they could teach me to actually use the program. *hint hint out there*
