There's no new info in it basically and most of it comes from the Play and Games TM Magazines...but i thought i could just post it..... The only thing that stood out was that they say that 9/11 and ground zero Will not be mentioned or apperead in the game (although i dont know if this was mentioned before) Can anybody find out if this magazine really exists? b4rtsimps0n Posted July 17, 2007 Share Posted July 17, 2007 well nothing new here then, even if its fake cuz other magazines already mentioned that 9/11 wont be in the game (or mentioned in it) and there will be no ground zero cuz that would be a waste of space. The only thing about it that will be in gta 4 is things mentioned about terrorism on the radio and such..terrorism will be a little in the background during the game, but wont be a big part of it. defibrillator Posted July 18, 2007 Share Posted July 18, 2007 New GTAIV Details- Francis McCreary, a corrupt police officer, knows that Nikko committed a felony and instead of turning him in, he asks Nikko for a favor. he wants him to kill a lawyer, Mr. Goldberg (this could lead to a bigger part of the story) - cell phones play a big part in GTA IV. it's one of the main ways to navigate through the city. - it's "rumored" that a flamethrower and rocket launcher will be in the game. - you'll access multiplayer from your cell phone while playing the game. - you can go to internet cafes. in one particular mission, Nikko sent a resume over the internet to the people he's about to kill. - if you ride in a cab as a way to get to wherever you're going, it switches to first person view. - the A.I. of the pedestrians are much, much more life like. for example, if you stare at someone for to long, they'll ask you what you're looking at, in a not so very nice way. - you will be able to visit the "Statue of Happiness" aka the Statue of Liberty. - the 9/11 terrorist attacks and Ground Zero will not be mentioned nor referenced anywhere in GTA IV. - the wanted level system has been tweaked a bit. now instead of just getting wanted stars, a radius appears around you, which you can see on your mini map when you commit a crime such as killing in the open, etc. the more stars you get, the bigger the radius is. once you're out of the radius the wanted stars will disappear. if you're close to being out of the radius and a police officer spots you, a new radius will appear at your current position and you'll have to continue running until you're out of the new radius. - you'll be able to hotwire "certain" cars. now when you hijack a car, Nikko will smash his elbow through a window instead of just throwing the person out and jumping in the car. With that being said.... 9/11 DID f*ckING HAPPEN!!!! I'm really tired of people skirting around the existence on this happening, everybody knows it was awful, but sweeping it under the rug, only to be pulled out by politicians in their campaigns and right wingers denouncing any American descent as "disrespectful to the victims" or "terrorist talk" is... for lack of better wording.... f*ckIN' BULLsh*t! 9/11 did happen, and we SHOULD all be talking about it so we can know how to avoid something like that again. Wether it be defensive manuevers, or pre-emptive manuevers... NOW WITH THAT BEING SAID.... (and sorry about the rant people, I know it's not the place for it, but the context was right) I hope that it's not true, I really do think that GTA has a wonderful satire of society, in fact, that's one of my favorite parts about the series, and the events leading up to 9/11, the 9/11 attacks, and the things that resulted after the attacks, are all ripe for discussion and analyzation..... what better way than with a bit of humor.... sure some folks need to develop their sense of humor, and some may be offended.... but hell, when has that stopped Rockstar before? If we didn't take world war 2 seriously, we would all be dead! 9/11 Was a tragic event and the 2nd pearl harbor of the United States.....We should just forget about it and tell are children that the big two dirt squares in downtown manhattan was just a peice of ground that was used to make the next tallest building in the world? When I watched TV I saw planes fly into the WTC in New York, not Liberty City. For those of you who don't know, Liberty city is BASED on NYC, its not exactly the same. Yes, it was tragic (like it even has to be said), but right now mothers and fathers in Iraq. How is that any less important?
