-Sorry if this is incorrect forum; seemed most fitting.

 

I'm wondering how I can remove the funky camera movement that occurs when you enter a garage. You know, when CJ runs free and you are in a far 3rd person view, only in a garage. I'd like to know if I can remove that action from one specific garage, and how because I downloaded a garage mod for SF and it is impossible to see where your going since it has a corner to it, with the stationary "garage view".

Another lame way is to use a camera (or another weapon with a scope), zoom it and walk into the garage in a zoom mode.

It's possible through mission coding, if you're dedicated enough to learn the basics. Read up on the tutorials in the pinned topics over there if so, and nubbel has indeed done some extensive work with respect to garages - topic here.

For San Andreas, the camera being remotely controlled is controlled by the IPL file, not the SCM file. You have to change the type of garage similar to the one in El Corona.

And the opcode that toggled that view in 3/VC (03DA) isn't even functional in SA anymore, so there's really no reason to touch the main.scm for this. colgate.gif

Thanks for the tips. I'm kind of stuck though because I don't know how to determine which entry is which (particularly El Corona). This is from nubbel's thread:

Also, I'm trying to do this camera fix with a non-stock garage. I'm using the "Enterable Buildings Mod" with another mod that makes the Doherty garage that is perpendicular to the stock openable one, able to open, and walk around in, so I'm unsure of what file to modify. It may be good to mention that the mod that makes the Doherty garage operational only includes .TXD files, and will only work if the "Enterable Buildings Mod" is installed.

Notice the 5 in the 3rd parameter from the end. That is the garage type code that uses normal camera. Most garages use 1 here, which results in camera locked outside the door. Find the garage that you want to change in the IPL files, and change the 1 to a 5 in the 3rd to last parameter.

 

I learned this from Nubbel's savegarage thread.
