I dont understand what the hell I got warned for I was just stating my opinion. Am I gonna get banned or how do I get rid of my criminal record? Its pissing me off cuz its supposed to be verbal but it wasnt really verbal because it went on my karma record and now its permanent so to me it seems like a punishment rather than a warning, now everyone is looking at me thinking "Hey what a retarded piece of sh*t how dumb are u getting warned and sh*t " and nobody respects me at all. Jeez hot dang diggity mother fucgging flame job riddin ass carnage on a blempy times at least two steps to the right. thats all. DexX Posted July 16, 2007 Share Posted July 16, 2007 Ok, to set the record straight: -warnings are not public. no one can see a thing in your karma log, except staff members. so the public has no idea what you got warned for, unless you tell them. -they are permanent. but they are not that serious, until you start to accumulate them, or if don't learn anything from the warning. -you should reply to the staff member who warned you, if you disagree with the warning, or do not understand it. and i recommend doing it in a timely manner. do not wait...uh...as long as you have, to complain about them. when you get warned, a pm is sent to you immediately, so you can't say you didn't know about them until today. The mods say verbal but its permanent wouldnt verbal be a pm and thats it? Using the karma log system is more efficient, so other staff members know what, if anything happened, and all the necessary details for future reference. and you do get a pm Im sad no mods read this I'm sad that people, not just you, wait a few hours, see no one from their intended audience has responded and automatically assume they will never read it... Here's what I meant to say earlier: Users can only see their own karma logs - they are unable to see logs that belong to other users. The only individuals who have the ability to view all karma logs are moderators and administrators. So don't start sh*tting your pants, worrying that everyone else is snooping through it. As for the warnings themselves... A verbal warning is just that - a warning. All warnings are recorded so we can keep track of the behaviour of users, and these warnings cannot be revoked or otherwise removed from your log. You just need to suck it up and deal with it. They never get removed, but if you get a couple shortly after joining, then have 2 years of being "clear" for example, they're not going to count for much. It's only if you get say 5 verbals in a short period of time we start thinking of harsher punishment. What DexX said. Just because someone does something decent doesn't mean their entire negative history should be erased. The person in your example could have thirty verbal warnings, then get a commendation with +1 star. He/she'd still have thirty verbal warnings in his/her log (thus showing the history of the user), but the single commendation would count as a star for that ultimately positive contribution to the community. It said it was my last warning. Does this mean I'm gonna get banned if I get one more warning? I've seen many people do worse things and get temp ban more than me. Anyone?
