DaNewMan
Hi. About this IMG modding. When i have put in a mod and starts san andreas, the game freezes and an error message comes up. This is what i do: 1. Download UFO mod 2. Open img viewer 3. search for 'sparrow.dff' 4. replace it with the modded one 5. search for 'sparrow.txd' 6. replace that one to this the modded 7. I choose 'rebuild archive' 8. starts gta sa 9. it freezes and an error message comes up. What am i doing wrong?
92F
Firstly you'll would need to find out which version of the game you are running to fix the problem appropriately. If it's V1.00 or V1.01 you may not be installing the mods correctly. You need to make sure you are deleting the original files then importing the new files then rebuilding the archive. If your running V2.00 you'll either need to google for a downgrader or follow this guide to make your version moddable: Link
Suction Testicle Man
To add to 92F's first point - try uninstalling the mod that didn't work, then installing a different mod, and seeing if that works. If it does, then you know you're installing mods correctly, but the first one you downloaded was a dud. If at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the test will be terminated. DaNewMan
Ok this is what i do. I download all my mods from gtagaming.com (ex. radar mod, ufo mod and so) and none of them work. And how do i know to what version its for and what version my sa is and do you know any mod that i can install?
92F
Mods don't have any specific version that they'll work for. To find out what version your running, on the main menu of the game it should say what version it is at the bottom right of your screen. Where exactly are you getting your error? While installing the mod, after installing the mod when trying to rebuild the archive, when on a loading screen or during game play?
