His refusal to accept this warning due to having various ornaments stuck up his bottom, then the consequent attempts to lecture a moderator on how to punish him, as well as various cheeky requests was the final straw. We lose an excellent GTA modder from our boards, which is a great shame. We also lose our forum drama-llama, as well as a whole lot of irritation, intimidation and abuse of trust (not just from Demarest). Digïtál £vîl will no doubt find this hilarious, and another good example of an incompetent moderating team. He will leave all but those that can view his karma log wondering why. Typically I was the primary moderator that hung around Gen Chat and kept things in order - unfortunately, I'm in a bit of a rut right now (moving to a new apartment in a different city, etc) and I don't have the time to police the boards as much as I'd like to. Yes, there's bias, and "veteran" members are often given more leeway than new members. But the same can be said for any community or organization - the folks that have been around the longest can get away with more. (At work, things that an employee of five-plus years can get away with could easily get a probationary employee - who is being scrutinized endlessly - fired.) I realize that doesn't excuse the behaviour completely, though, and I'll do my best to keep the whole "bias" thing from becoming an issue. With that said, I'll be picking up my activity in an attempt to combat the clutter in General Chat over the coming week(s). Well, there's more than one person on the Mod/Admin team, so there should be more than one of you overlooking certain parts of the forum. I report when I think it's needed. Yeah, you remember that string of like 2 or 3 MySpace topics? You know why those got locked in 10 minutes? I reported them. Anyway, half of the people on the first page need to stop their bitching. General Chat is for, GENERAL CHAT. I agree some of the stupid n00b question topics need to be locked, but topics like the Cat Picture topic, that's f*cking hilarious. Some of the topics are just hangout topics so there tends to be spam in them. Every time I see a post by you all I read is you trying to insult someone else or attempting to build up your ego even more by claiming how superior you are to everyone else. Perhaps you should give it a break once in a while. The tough online guy attitude died back in 2003 when the majority of us vets hit adulthood incase you don't remember. Stop trying to be "live'n it old school." On the related note of Demarest. I'm extremely happy to see him banned, I'm sure that is of no surprise. Lets just hope he doesn't trick another mod into allow him back on the forums. Like stated, the forums lost a modder, but at the same time we lost a sh*t load more of his bullsh*t.
