BeLLenD Posted July 14, 2007 Share Posted July 14, 2007 I notice that on youtube users can get a pretty perfect picture with videos of games that they have recorded i was just wondering if it would be possible for me to do this with my xbox. the problem is my PC is downstairs and my xbox is upstairs, is there any way i can still make this work and if so what product would you advise. Jonny_Tightlips Posted July 14, 2007 Share Posted July 14, 2007 Get a good DVR that has AV plugs. I'm on a mac so I use the EyeTV Hybrid. I don't know about any good DVRs for Windows though. Otter Posted July 14, 2007 Share Posted July 14, 2007 There are other options, depending on what equipment you have. - If you have a camcorder, you can set it to VTR mode, and record footage from the video out from either your TV or VCR. Then you can capture that footage with your PC. - If you have a dvd recorder, you can simply record your gameplay onto a dvd, then rip it with a simple program like MPEG Streamclip. Otter Posted July 14, 2007 Share Posted July 14, 2007 Head to your local big box store and poke around. I couldn't really tell you, from this side of the pond. But be sure to inquire whether or not the player will record directly from the video in. That's the only important part.
