The router and the internet work, so what can it be?
Vinnie
Well obviously something is wrong with the settings of the Web Browser that you're using, what browser are you using?

Vinnie
Okay well my firstly make sure that Internet Explorer isn't set to work offline, you can check this by clicking File>Work Offline (Make sure it isn't checked). Secondly you may have to restore the settings to default, have you made any changes yourself?. To do this click Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Restore Settings. As you're using a router I assume it's connected to your pc by Ethernet or Wireless?
Deuce Deuce
Wait, how did you post this if you are unable to connect to web pages.
All-Blacks
Wait, how did you post this if you are unable to connect to web pages. We live in the 21st century mate, computers aren't the only devices that can access the internet. Or he possibly has another PC. I actually have the same problem on my other laptop, I can't open Internet Explorer yet I can access everything else (games, MSN, Windows Media etc.). Internet works on this laptop, so I know its nothing to do with connection. What could be the problem? Possibly a virus of some sort (I've had some terrible problems with it lately, replaced the motherboard twice in the last six months due to overheating as the fan kept breaking down, its a piece of crap!)? I feel like chucking the bloody thing out.
Mitza_003
Try a complete system scan with Kaspersky or NOD32 to be sure you have no viruses.
