nlitement
AHAHAH, I called them I'm not 18 though.. but damn, I hope I sound old enough. I didn't really know what to say, I said something like: "Hi, this is Edvard, E-D-V-A-R-D. I'm calling from Finland, but from my opinion, in my opinion.. there is NOTHING wrong with Liberty City, complainers can go to hell. Oh, and I love your show! Thanks." swellman
Cool! So this is gonna be an actual radio station in the game, right?
BIG_SAMZ_EF
im sure that if theres any good rants that R* might use them in the game, cause in the terms and conditions it talks about no royalties etc... so you never know your voice might end up on gta4. columbia
The Promotion involves the recording of voicemail messages which may be used in a video game, such as GRAND THEFT AUTO IV developed by Rockstar Games, Inc. Taken directly from the Terms & Conditions page.
Stuch
Thats a great way to get the fans involved! The T&C seems to suggest that select recordings may be incorporated into the game!
nlitement
Ah, guys, am I the only one who called? And I'm not even in the You-S. Share with us what you ranted about!
Brish
It's a lot more realistic than past GTA teaser sites. The links actually work and they put a real (New York) phone number on there.
Dun Filero
Sounds good to me. Just gotta make sure to keep it contextual. For those who decide to call in like myself, don't refer to Bush or any other politicians and stuff like that. Only refer to the war on terror in general as well as Liberty City, "foreigners", etc. all in general. That's because if you're going to be chosen for inclusion on the radio in IV, more than likely Bush and the specific events of the war on terror don't exist in the GTA universe. So if you constantly talk about Bush or 9/11 for instance, I doubt they'd put you in. You gotta keep it generalized, but yet specific enough to be believable as a disgruntled Liberty City resident. I'm going to have to script what I say. I'll make it nice and juicy. I'll probably start off by saying I live in Rottingham Rotterdam Hill (an area in IV) and I'll go off on how f**ked up liberals are and maybe I'll delve into the war on terror a bit and tie in that as well, but defintely keep it generalised throughout and name no names or anything that would exclude my entry. Got it? Edit: Damn, it's Rotterdam Hill. That would've been a big f**k up. Edited July 13, 2007 by Dun Filero
Ithanium
Or just call and go all stupid like "Hi, this is Dick, D-I-C-K, and I think America sucks because I LIKE it." Edit: so there we have the first radio station. And chances are that they'll need a lot of statements. Here's hope mine will be picked. goholden1
Number works, Here is a recording. I would say it goes longer, But i live in Australia so it will cost to much to stay on longer. Download.
Mafia Righthand_Man
Wow, so probably the funniest calls will make it into GTAIV then? That's a cool f*cking idea. Hell, if I think of something, maybe I'll call.
Crokey
OK, here's the deal. I think it would be really nice for Rockstar to put up a competition for the fans to design an Advertising Campaign based on somthing that is kind of real life, for example Sprunk=Sprite but not too close for comfort, so that it could be put into the game either as a Radio Advert, a Billboard or on the newspapers that float about the streets. This probably won't happen but how about we do one anyway for laughs... Linky So looks like I kinda guessed something right again about GTA
Knife
So looks like I kinda guessed something right again about GTA Deepthro... lucky guess bitch. Shame for over 18 restriction. But it's obvious why they can't allow it.
