rocky_ Posted July 10, 2007 Share Posted July 10, 2007 what I want to know is how far the interview could you have got if you didn't pull a gun, or maybe that was a cut scene and you have no choice in the matter... What would happen if you missed the interview? just reschedule another one or would they be pissed off with you and say you've missed your chance? Also how about finding a quieter way to kill goldberg or shoot the secretary before she can press the alarm... The missions seem much more fluid but that must mean there's a huge amount more material for them to put in which a lot of people would never see depending on how you play the game... I can't believe he got a sneak play of IV and he never told us about how much the map resembles real life NY. In fact he never said anything about the map at all As for the internet thing, I'm betting that it's not all it's cracked up to be. I can see it as a lot of webpages stored on the game itself. So my questions are 1) Will there be stealth kills added to the game like in Manhunt were the secretary wont hear a thing and you just simply walk out of the office and building before anybody notices Goldberg is dead? 2) What if you kill him using a knife or a silencer were the secretary will not hear you kill him? 3) Just like the others have said "what if you choose not to go through with the murder"? ... You follow him in his car until he gets to a quiet place, then you pull round infront of him and kill him. People fire when it's a sure hit, unless they suck or something. Shooting through walls hoping it will hit you is inefficient. Shooting through doors in Hitman Blood Money was kickass. Being able to pin people down behind cover would be cool, too. Just the general dynamics of a gunfight. I remember playing Red Dead Revolver when it first came out and thinking, wow, finally real gun fight tactics. And then after the tutorial you were never able to duck behind any cover without twenty clones blindly chasing after you. Edit: Just re-read the scans. Tw@ Cafe, hehehe. I just now got that. This preview has really changed my views on some of the more realistic things that will be in GTA4. I can't wait to play this game. And I love the Scarface elements but I just need to knw more info on the gangs, story, can we upgrade weapons, can we buy drugs and sell them and the same thing with weapons. I hope Jacob won't be our only gun contact and if he is I wonder if there's something where we can sell guns for him. I need to play this game now. Also since we know a few confirmed things returning from previous GTAs I hope we'll find out what characters or gangs from previous GTAs could possibly return. And damn it seems to me like Niko has cash at the beginning of the game. I mean 2 stacks on an outfit that early in the game. In the words of Harlem's own Jim Jones Niko is BALLIN lol. Hopefully this confirms that we'll be able to use shotguns for driveby's aswell. That's impossible. A shotgun culdn't be used in a drive by unless you were actually riding shotgun or you stopped the car to shoot. Thats the same with any Fully automatic weapons or higher caliber weapons. The recoil would be ridicoulous not to mention you'd have to use 2 hand to actualy shot a shotgun. Hopefully we can have people drive us around. Anyway, i am glad to hear that the draw-distance is unbelievable. This is important to give the game a sense of realism and aweness about the entire city. Some of the things i want is now confirmed....like every street is named and cops would radio each other inquiring about certain streets while locating you? Also the NEW wanted level system is cool...way better than the automatic cops knowing exactly where you are all the time. How annoying!! Internet Tw@ Caffe sounds cool...now it says there are a lot of sites within the GTA intranet that you can go to ....now i am thinking there might be porno sites?? I have no doubt there will be many of such sites but contents of the site will probably blocked from viewing. Now about the submitting your VC for jobs, and when Nikko when up to the front desk lady and talk, i am wondering is this realtime or cutscenes?? Hope it's realtime. roryalexander Posted July 10, 2007 Share Posted July 10, 2007 HEY all Well firstly i want to say how awesome this game looks and somehow already feels great, and it is definetly got me back into beliving in good games however i have a few theories that may burst some bubbles, dont get me wrong i hope im wrong but im just not sure about them. 1st- ive read about people discussing the possibility of not killing Goldberg in the mission and how cool it would be if it was all up to you, and that how cool it would be to kill him differently for example follow him after work, it would be awsome but wouldnt that mean each computer controlled player would need a home, i dont know, maybe some charecters do(remeber no promised load times) also people talk about doing missions whenever they like so what wolud happen to goldberg that assigned mission, i just dont know , but it would preety unrealistic if goldberg stayed in his office and that was it, but R* know what there doin so i trust them. 2nd- whats al this about buyin a2000 doller suit i though this was "rags to slightly better rags" im not poor but i sure as hell aint spent 2grand on 1 interview just seems slightly as if its there just for being there, however if there was a repocutuin for not wearing the suit EG they dont let you in the building or something along the line of this then it kinda makes sense. 3rd(and final)- i understand that this is not a rpg game and that its trying to focus less on aspects from GTA-SA however eating is a fundementel thing of human life wht game can be truly realistic without eating, i know it could seem boring but you could make it intersting, look at most gangster films they all have cools things happen in restaurants. Hey you could even be a local to a restaurant and u could choose to meet people there i just hope there is some sort of aspect similar to this. Anyways This game is gonna be so brilliant its gonna take ur breath away i promise. No Game Informer had a lot of info in it and after that everybody copied the same demo from them........ This info gets me so excited.......i hope you can do each killing differently than just walk into the office and shoot him in the head...or maybe its possible not to kill Goldberg since he's your lawyer..... The internet thing is soooo cool....maybe the downloadable content will be used to access new sites....and tw@ Cafe I dont like the name of Time Square though......Star Junction? I like the star part but the junction just doesn't sound good to me... The wanted level system sounds cool.....i actually had a dream when i was playing gta4 and i had to run out of the circle area.
