Do not flame me if otherwise, all that is needed is a simple link to the thread which already covers this subject, and I will notify the moderators myself for a thread closure. Flaming is idiotic, and unnecessary. Between 00:43 and 00:44 in trailer 2 "Looking For That Special Someone" you can clearly see the LCPD cruiser that had been in front of Nico has been replaced with another cruiser bearing a different design, and that design isn't too foreign to me. Take a look below... 00:43 STANDARD LCPD POLICE CAR (Obviously nearly identical to the standard NYPD cruiser design) 00:44 NEW CRUISER BEARING THICK YELLOW/BLUE DESIGN (Yellow/blue is the Department of Homeland Securities definitive colors). This particular design looks a hell of a lot like the DHS cruisers that drive around WPB Int'l Airport day and night, as well. Also, note the emblem on the side of the cruiser; though it is not crystal clear it looks similar to this: So yeah, I thought it an interesting find, figured I'd share. Good day, gents. jimmyjojo Posted July 5, 2007 Share Posted July 5, 2007 Niko was probably on a terrorist watch list before entering the United States, since he was involved with some of the illegal activities of Eastern Europe, which I hear is a good place to look if I want to buy some under the table nuclear weapons that disappeared after the Cold War. Perhaps it's mearly a replacement for the FBI trucks that appear with 5 stars, although it would be cool if it went deeper than that. I mean, Niko is a foreigner with a criminal background after all, and I believe the first trailer insinuated that he smuggled himself into the country through one of America's very vulnerable ports. It wouldn't be hard to imagine DHS taping his cellphone, following his activities, and eventually coming down hard on him. I actually thought the blackhawk helicopter in the 2nd trailer belonged to U.S. Customs and Immigration for some reason... Maybe we might get to see a location outside of Liberty City afterall... No one can deny you of that, does make you wonder what stages of law enforcement there will be and at what point do these guy's come along. Maybe they come with 2 stars and bring a chopper with them. I hope it's not just related to one mission in particular. Like mentioned before by someone else, it would be interesting to see different agencies depending on the crime that is being commited ( DEA for dealing drugs, Vice for pimping, ATF when you start blowing stuff up ) ...let hope and see. Thank you for the comments, and yes it also got me wondering exactly how the law enforcement levels will be played out, and if the DHS would possibly play in what used to be the military's spot on the wanted level. To take screen shots using Windows Media Player, go into Tools>Options...>Performance (Video Acceleration area)>Advanced, then uncheck the box for "Video Overlays". They develope and implement national strategy to make the United States safe from terrorist threats or attacks, or at least that is what they claim. Most Americans see them as being an intrusive agency which spies on U.S. citizens. These concerns because widespread when it was revealed that the DHS was tapping civilian phone lines and listening to millions of personal phone calls in some hope of catching terrorists planning an attack. Not only does it make a nice change, but also FBI are an investigative bodie, not law enforcement. I'll also love to see trucks belonging to them parked outside your safehouses when you long-term wanted level gets high enough, hopefully if there is one.
