Following the earlier announcement from Rockstar Games about the release date for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Grand Theft Auto IV, French website Jeux Expo is reporting that the PC version of the game will be launched in Europe in October 2008.

I see the news is hitting pretty much every gaming site. I still don't really believe it myself, but I am hoping that the rumour might force Rockstar to expose it's stance on the PC format.

If you upgrade your PC, go big to hold you over for a few years. I built a new rig last year for Oblivion, and I should be solid for a few more.

 

I'll probably end up getting it for PC if it comes out, just to take a look at the graphics. I almost crapped myself after downloading the COD4 demo and then renting it for my 360 a few days later. The 360 looked horrible compared to PC.

My brother bought a PS3, so ill be playing GTA4 on that for awile. By the time GTA4 for the PC is released i hopefully have a new PC.

If you are buying a console for GTAIV better buy a 360 as it has DLC.

Interesting ,Assasins Creed for PC requires minimum 2gb RAM.Its quite a sh*t and lazy port i reckon,still a great game.anyways RAM is dirt cheap nowadays and everyone gamer should have at least 2GB of RAM .

As i was suspecting all along...R* cant afford NOT to release it on PC....

 

And my rig WILL be able to play it...

AMD QUADCORE 9180

512Mb Nvidia 8800GT

3Gb Ram

2x500GB SATA with VISTA on 1st and XP on 2nd

Looks like my might need to get a new PC for GTA and the future gaming. 2GB RAM min, talk about taking so much memory. Its like VISTA, the monster hog memory machine. rampage_ani.gif

I wonder did it ever cross Rockstar's mind to release the "Stories" GTA games on the PC platform. There was/is definitely money in it for them if they did/do, so I'm still waiting for that as well.

 

What would be kick-ass, is if they released GTA LCS and GTA VCS in single pack...called "GTA III Stories" or something along those lines.

GTA IV to the PC? I'd say there's a 50-50 chance there and if it did come out on the PC, you would probably need Windows Vista to play it on, e.g. Shadowrun can only be played on vista unless theres a hack so you can play it on XP.

Oh God! You won`t need Vista to play it, Vista sales are low comparing to XP sales ... You`ll probably need XP + SP 2 ( or 3 ), I think it will run on Vista but on XP too ... The next thing to say is that "GTA 4 will need DX10 to play " Glad you didn`t said that ...

smile.gifsmile.gif Woa hang on man, the X360 and PS3 are both (the PS3 nativly) DirectX 9 consoles so havin DX 10 on PC as a requirment is almost certainly not necessary, wouldn't do any harm at all to include support for it's enhanced effects mind, might look better at high res than either of the consoles. and this whole Vista thing is balls. I have Vista and all I can say is, there's hardly anythin that s worth botherin about upgradin for.

GTA IV is completely separate from GTA 3's trilogy. You won't see any returning characters.

It has been confirmed that there will be no returning characters.

hehe, well it's like 2007 in the game so he could have changed, you know. And what I mentioned was artwork, not an ingame shot.

 

Actually, I was thinking, you know it's not possible to do in SA but hey, try a goatee and a special hair cut and take a photo from side and... yeah they look simillar. hehehe
