Apparently the meeting is over, and listeners have said nothing was mentioned regarding the PC version of GTA IV...?

 

I will give Rockstar Games/Take 2 Interactive a single week to announce the PC version's release date.  After that, this campaign against Rockstar and Take 2, which up until now has been in good nature and clean fun, will be taken to the next level.

Pfff... you'll look at them with an angry face? That would freak them out.....really....

 

Well, at least someone is trying to do SOMETHING. Your member title says "The main protagonist" but you're obviously nothing more than a mere bystander. Fine by me, do nothing if you want, but skip these sad sarcastic comments.

 

 

BUY the game when it comes out, who knows if everyone BUY'S the game this time we might get treated a lil bit better when the next GTA comes out.

I have to disagree with this one. Why should we buy that crap? It will probably be a shoddy port, without any improvements, without that DLC crap AND it will come with at least 6 MONTHS delay. With a NEW GAME PRICE TAG? I say f*ck that, I'm not giving my money to those pr*cks. I'm not downloading it either. Best case scenario is I'll get an used copy from the Ebay or likes. I will make sure not a penny of my money goes to those assholes. Not now, not ever! R* doesn't deserve any of my money, simple as that. Gronf has made an excellent suggestion. We want to buy Mafia2, but we don't want any of our money to go to those assholes at Take2UpTheAss so what can we do about that ? Send the money directly to those fine Czech developers? Wouldn't that by something. Or if Mafia2 gets on Steam that would be perfect.

 

What if they did announce it? We should be happy? Wag our tails and be all like "OMG finally, our masters have decided to trow us a bone". I would like to believe we have some (not some, a lot!) self respect left and we don't need this crap. R* is treating us like stupid bitches and we are falling for it, once again. There were some assumptions before whether people from R* read this forum or not. I think they do and they laugh their asses of. Why? Well, they can pull this crap off and STILL sell a couple of millions of GTA copies for PC. F*king hilarious. They treat people (read PC gamers) like scum and people give them their money. And hope things will be better in future. What future? I hope there will be no more GTAs and that R* will get overtaken by EA and ruined. THAT would be one pride day for all PC gamers.

 

One more thing (to aidan87 and alin15). We should calm down. R* is not worth our time. Henry Rollins said something about hate, something like this "When you hate someone, just say f*ck him, don't invest your time and effort into hating them passionately. Just f*ck'em". It's not an exact quote (not by far) but I think it does the trick. GTA IV is just a game. I personally have lost my interest (and mind you, could be playing it at my friends house if I wanted to). I just don't give a f*ck anymore. Mission accomplished R*, well done !

@medfreak & mkey82: I agree. I think what is really disappointing about all this is that gtaiv is a game that a lot of pc gamers have been looking forward to. I concede that I would still like to play it if it were to be released on pc, but I can't help but feel that I will approach the game more as a curiosity now when I would have otherwise been excited to see it. There is simple no question of my ever investing in a console, so there are other games that I am looking forward to playing on pc now rather.

 

I suppose one has to think that overhype and publicity often also has the negative effect of oversaturating the market.

I couldn't agree more. Let me start from the flaming part, I know that they are really not worth my time but I was extremely pissed back then, read my previous post

Now, I really like to explain why I'm not supporting TakePoo, it is like what Gronf said before, it is about the principle. They treat us like scum bags, fine, we are not buying their product. Fair enough, isn't it?

I used to care about this game being ported to PC and was really ready to pay for it.. now with the negative reviews and bitching all over the forum and for the sake of this bitch treatment that we, PC gamers, get from Whorestar and TakePoo, I don't really care about that anymore. But I like to admit that I'll be somewhat happy when they announce us the PC version, but guess what, this won't change anything. I'm still not giving them my money, but instead, thanks to your brilliant idea, I'm getting it from eBay or maybe steam, just because I'm not a cheap stake and it isn't about the money for me. But give them my money? that's a no-no. Same goes for Mafia 2.

 

EDIT: I'd also like to add one more thing, please DON'T lose hope now, I'd still give them month or 2, remember that the cock-suckers still doesn't deny it. Also remember that VC was announced 4-5 months after the original console release.

well,if R* doesn't improve the fun things just have to make our own things.

Hope we cold be able to make Jean-Yves Blondeaur's roller suit and Yves Rossy's jetwings and a Glider ourself. such things deserve to be done virtually. both of those thoughts work well for 'getting back' at them. take2 and R* really like money and if we stick to either idea that is less money they will see from us pc gamers. i think i am going for option one. not because 'I' am pissed, but because of how they are treating my fellow brother and sister gamers.

 

i will be sticking with option one (i say that now) and my history proves that i hold firm on my boycots. remember sierra online? they used to own dynamix which produced 'front page sports football'. the last installment of the game was so bugged(and unpatchable) that they recalled it. the problem was they made it near impossible get a refund. i sent them a polite letter to let them know i was a long time supporter* and was disapointed.......and then i never bought anything they were involved with again. about the same time i had a Gravis game controler that went south. i called them to see what i needed to do to replace it. they sent me a new one (very fast) without having to send my broken one in. they actually went on 'my word' and if i looked through my closset i bet i still have the broken one along with it's free replacement.

 

if you need to continue with the gta series go with option2.

 

sorry for the ramble. an off hours project at work that should have taken about a half hour took about 6hrs. so i pretty much worked from 7:30am to the next day 4am
