I was right about GTAIV!!

 

If Hardcore (PC) Gamers aint playing a game then the console fanboys get bored of it so much quicker!!

I know it sounds rediculous... but if you think about it, the only hugely successful games are played by PC Gamers too! (unless they are based on aliens... I dont know why...)

 

 

And the GTA Games which give GTAIV its reputation were all of the ones on PC which could be modded!... well just look at VCS and LCS... they werent hugely successful... plus they weren't released on PC either...

 

and now GTAIV will only get the good reputation back if the PC Gamers can Give it to the Game...

 

just think, Most Trusted Reviewers are PC Gamers themselves!! and the Reviewers who are console gamers just give 99/100% to anything...

i am glad you noticed that. the 1up.com gfw postcast the other week had them flipping out over how GTA4 is being reviewed. and not because they are GFW - they aren't. gfw in print no longer exists so now their podcast hits a bunch of games regardless of platform.

 

they all said they liked the game, but totally had their bitch points.

 

the one scary bitch point that has me worried is they were saying it feels a bit more scripted now. you can't be as openly creative to get through a mission - you kind of have to do it like they want you to.

 

i like honest reviewers.

It's amazing how the GTA news sites aren't saying anything regarding the web casting or even the existence of this fiscal report by Take 2, and what it could mean for the possible PC version of GTA IV. Once again, I must say that it's amazing the sort of master-slave/bitch relationship that sending cheap game merchandise to the staff at these sites can achieve. Either that, or the sites are just that damn clueless that they've totally forgotten about how important it is that new GTA games see the light of day on the PC, rather than being restricted to console only forever.

and as that guys PC goes Core Duos are too expensive for they're price and power, I have a AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ (2.81GHz) and I bought it just for few euros more that a core duo. so you loose.

EA at least releases a game every year, although you are right that not all of them are of high quality.

 

Vista has some cool functions over XP, but has downsides as well.

 

So it's just a matter of opinion.

I guess it's some sort of NDA, and that whorish reviewers actually do ask. Or, it could be so that they want to ask but are too afraid to lose their status with R*. Or, it could be that they're all console whore S&Mers.

 

EDIT: I'm fed up with SA:MP (moved on to PR) so I'll be modding it again. United, hi-res textures, ENB and some other bullplop.

My opinion of Vista kinda hasn't fully formed yet

I've used it a couple of times and ,I must say, I rather enjoyed it.

I know it requires more power from your PC but hey, so do the games that come out each year

I'm not necessarily saying that Vista is the new age of operating systems but it's a small step forward.

But I do find the fact that Microsoft announced Windows 7 only a few months after Vista came out rather strange:/

And Windows 7 is scheduled to come out in 2009 so...I guess that show how confident Microsoft is about Vista

I feel Vista is what Millennium was between Win 98 and XP.

 

 

When EA releases a game every year, developers have very little/no time to polish the game due to time constraints.

This results into a half-ar*ed product which has little to no improvement when compared to its prequel except that the minimum requirement bar has been raised a bit.

EA and Ubisoft(look what they did to the Tom Clancy games) should stop being money wh*res and focus on publishing quality games.

If the game is good, gamers will buy it.

Just so EVERYONE is on the same page, your "interview" with Dan Houser is fiction, straight up. Rockstar did sign deals but it was not solely for funds other then to aid their efforts. Consoles are the PRIMARY source of gaming. Don't kid yourself in thinking PC gamers are the largest market. I won't contest the possibilities of PC gaming, but I will argue Microsoft, who works and acknowledges both markets (Sony does too, BTW)...is literally struggling with WinVista and now Windows 7 is moved up a year to take it's place in mid-2009.

In fact, Vista and Media Center Edition seem like the Win98 Second Edition and Windows ME of their era. I love Windows ME but if it didn't come OEM, you got burned. I got mine on an eMachine no less and it has never been an issue for me. I still own it.

They use DST to just as England, Norway and New York so 23:30 for Estonians. The DST effects only between countries that do uses it and those who don't. So GMT+2 and West will see it today
