So? any updates ob GTA IV, Saints Row 2, Just cause 2 of Mafia 2 ?

Yeah he's right 2 gigs works fine, but I don't know for Crysis on highest settings though...

 

And 2 gigs of ram is like 20 € (about 13 dollars), so money's not really an issue.

If you are thinking of installing vista, go for 3 gig.

on xp, (after the initial tweak ofcourse) and with Geforce 9800 gx works on very high quite smoothly.

And yes, money's not that big of a problem.

I got Vista now... and Crysis works just fine with it...

on the highest graphics the good but not BEST

my poor video card handle it all alone now...

after I'll buy the Core 2 duo and the new mother board it will probably run allot more faster..

 

Oh and one question... what RAM memory is better

that machine was a live... thats the differences between consoles and PC's

ddr2 and ddr3 have different peak rate transfer.

Not every motherboard support ddr2(not sure about this)

By the looks of this thread there will be major disappointment if nothing is said during Take Two's fiscal year report.

Yes there is allot of bullsh*t, you're not exactly any better with that post. But there have also have been some constructive discustion, about rumors, news, some youtube videos, the O&A radio show, and release projections. Most of the bullsh*t has been started by people that has NOTHING to do here.

 

Anyway gearing up to Thursday 21:30 GMT. No matter what we will not get a denial on that day as some suggested. The report may only reveal what they are currently doing, there is most likely not going to be an announcement, and there is definitely not going to be a denial.

This line from T2 Q3 report of 2004 revealed the PC plans for San Andreas back in 2004, thats the best we can hope for but very unlikely.

@N3M3ZIS and grove4life15, I hear where you are coming from and believe me you would have regretted selling your PC and buying a console. I was foolish enough to give in and bought a console (thankfully didn't sell my beloved PC's though) Well it was either a console or the Coolmaster Stacker 830 Nvidia case, wish I had gone with the case now because the console sits under the telly gathering dust. I have completed GTA 4 twice to 100% both times (the second time was a chore because the game became boring) and now the console and game sit there gathering dust, it won't be long before the 360 joins the PSP in the shed at the bottom of the garden

 

To all PC users that may be waivering, take it from a long time PC gamer (nearly 20 years of PC gaming) you will ultimately find the console experience short lived, frustrating and incredibly unrewarding. It really is NOT worth it believe me.

 

Now if you are still having doubts that GTA 4 will come to the PC we just have to look at what is happening in the gaming market. The PC is now getting games that no one ever thought we would get. You just need to look at the news to see we are getting Streetfighter 700, Saints Row 2. Mercenaries 2 and Burnout Paradise (four games I would have bet my life would never grace the PC). There are even RUMOURS that Gran Turismo may be coming to the PC, I mean Gran Turismo on the PC would have been unthinkable a few years ago. Whether the rumour is true or not I know Polyphony have expressed an interest in doing some games on the PC.

 

So really when you think about it, it is pretty ridiculous to even ask the question that this topic asks. Those 4 games I mentioned have zero market on the PC so far. Yet these companies have obviously done the research and determined there is enough interest to warrant bringing these games to the PC. Now GTA 4 has a proven market on the PC, they have cold hard numbers that will show that GTA 4 sells on the PC.

 

I won't lie to you a month or so ago I firmly believed that GTA 4 would not grace the PC (hence the console purchase). However a month on with games that were once totally taboo on the PC being announced daily it now seems incredible to even suggest that GTA 4 won't be on the PC. A PC version is coming the only question is when we will hear about it and when we will get it. So to those PC gamers that may still be waivering stick it out, you will be rewarded in the end and you won't have the bad taste in your mouth that I will have when the PC version comes out. Oh and I will be buying the PC version because I want to kick all your arses in MP

well, as a modder, i would like to make some points over PC version of IV, i have no doubt that R* will release a PC version after the console fever stop, but for me that like of customize my game, for many of the partners here that have played the PS3/XBox version and after being disapointed now waits for PC version, it'll be a future for modding, for make a little longer the life of the game?... that's the part i DOUBT from the PC.

 

When SA saw the light for first time, a new era for modders began, we didn't see so much fun in modding a game, VC and III were nice to modify, but SA took us at a higher level (speaking about v1.0), even the components of the game were the same of the previous games, or even better cause modding was/it's never so easier to do, you can put a new customized car without some special script or installation, not like VC or III, just with the proper tools, but eventually that changed, in the release of version 1.01 modding was allowed, but not as easier as 1.0 and not for mention 2.0 that it's just impossible to mod, it even need a downgrader patch (.. i know.. hotcoffe...is that the real cause?)!!, so why i as a modder should be so exited if modding is not possible?, despite the GFX engine and the new features, why i want the same game of PS3 but for my PC?, many of us knows that other kind of games like Quake or.... (sh*t, well i duno remember more games just now) have it's own forums of mods, recognized, endorsed and encouraged by the company/developers itself, i think this is a perfect time for R* for define about it's situation, i mean they said that customization is allowed, but at the same time they are trying to remove it, so if modding is not allowed then we are braking it laws? if it's not allowed why do we still here? or if it's allowed why R* didn't show some mention about the GTA.NET or even other site about GTA?

 

I played IV for PS3, not great deal, i finished like 40% history, played for a while in Multiplayer but then i felt like i was more in the mood for SA Multiplayer, luckily for me, was a borrowed game cause i don't gonna waste my bucks in a game that is not worth of it, and i feel kind of sorry for that because i played every GTA title in this world, and it's the first time i'm really mad at it. I'm a proud PC player since GTA times, and like me many... many in this site, and i guess that only for that, man.... R* should show some recognition to us and at least send some cheers to it's devoted followers (i mean, some news, man!! at least some f*cking:

It's on June 5th, Thursday if he means Second Quarter Fiscal 2008 Results but not fiscal year report

So let's hope Take 2 will announce the PC version of GTA IV on June 5th.

don't panic first.Based on the previous release of GTA 3 series for PC, the PC version will be announce by Take 2 in 4 or 5 months after the console's release (except GTA SA)

Anyway, the PC version of GTA IV should probably announce on June 5th, if it isn't then it should probably announce on September
