GTA IV for PC

Oh crap, don't you start on the Downloadable Cotent! Theres already a war raging on in the XBOX 360 VS PS3 forum, I'm a participant in that topic. BACK to this topic, there will not be a PC version of GTA IV, so you're gonna have to get an Xbox 360 and make proper use out of ot, not the PS3 cuz it stinks, simple as plus the PC was NOT designed for gaming although you can cuz little billy thinks it's tight on you lot, but I despite gaming on the PC, so I only use Emails, internet, trailers of all kinds and forums.

PC: 12th December 2006

XBOX360: November 20th 2006

PS3: June 26th 2007

PSP: June 12th 2007

 

The PC version was released more than half a year before the PS3 ...

and the psp? never knew that. i have it on 360.

Okay Fes_2006 if PC's are so "crap" at games then answer these questions :-

 

1) Why is it the PC has the best version of Fear with higher resolution graphics, blistering frame rates and smooth gameplay, compared to the PS3/360 version which drops frames every 5 seconds ?.

 

2) Why is it the PC can play Oblivion at higher resolutions and better frame rates than the PS3/360 ?

 

3) Why is it the PC can play Rainbow 6 - Las Vegas at a higher resolution and better frame rates than the PS3/360 ?

 

I should also point out that those three games are all running on just 1 core of a duo 2 core.

Tell you what whilst you claim people with PC's care about whether they get Gears of War (we don't it's a crap 9 hour game) you can sit there wondering if you will ever see a killer game like Crysis. Actually I will save your brain cells, the answer is YOU WILL NEVER SEE a game like crysis on the Sh*tbox or the PS3.

We got Bioshock coming up, Mass Effect, Halo 3, Alan Wake, Banjo 3, GTA IV, Resident Evil 5, We've also got C&C 3, we're getting MGS4, Devil May Cry 4 and loads of other games. I don't think you understood the image. An XBox 360 is a (gaming) console. So, when the turtle is the console, and the M1A1 tank is the PC; most people draw the conclusion that the PC can outperform the console, thus understanding the important fact the image is trying to point-out.

 

You seem to still believe that the XBox 360 is better (in some way) than the PC. Don't get me wrong, we all feel sorry for you for spending your hard-earned money on such a useless gimmicky gadget, but please, keep to the console whining thread.

Battle, maybe...debate, well there really isn't one. Just take a look at console and PC versions of the same game, and then read through how much mid-level computer peripherals cost these days. PCs don't cost what they once did, but consoles keep getting more and more expensive with each new-model-release. Couple that with the fact that new console-game prices never, ever, drop in price, while PC games are now about 20% cheaper nearly all the time, and you have the basic reason as to why consoles will never be superior to PC...especially when it comes to gaming.

 

Now this thread is about the PC version of GTA IV. It's not an argumentative thread revolving around the issue of "consoles vs PCs"; if it was, we'd just get pages and pages of people writing the same thing as (or similar to) what I just wrote.

 

So if you don't have anything to say about the PC version of GTA IV, don't say anything; but certainly don't post stupid little pointless-debate-sparking comments like...

Alright then, let's play by the rules. Is there a chance on Earth that the highly anticipated game, Grand Theft Auto IV make a return like past GTA games. True, GTA 1 was first released on the PC, not an Exclusive though. My thoughts about GTA IV releasing on the PC is, well basically, Zilch! Why would Rockstar release their Console only game onto the PC, LCS and VCS don't seem to have been released on the PC so why should GTA IV, even if it does which I GRETALY doubt, the PC will not be getting the 2 Special Episodes that are appearing on Xbox Live. What do my friends on this topic have to say about this?

I'm not the President of Rockstar Games, nor am I above Bill Gates, I am mearly a man who wishes to use that little known comodity these days called common sense. Someone who actually has been around long enough to have been there at the begining of PC gaming and long, long before the advent of the console market, which I might add was long before even Sony and Microsoft thought of getting into the Console industry.

 

I would be willing to debate the issue of Consoles vs PC's but I feel that I would be banging my head against a brick wall, against opponents so caught up and stuck in their ways and who aren't willing to accept both sides of the argument.
