One reviewer here in Norway recieved threats after not giving Halo 3 a top score... Anonymous email describing how he was going to be killed 

Seriously? I never heard of it, can you post a link to related news about it or something.

I'm at work, so I haven't got that much time now, but this link was the first one that popped up. It is not the one mentioning emails, I couldn't find that one.

Of course it will happen. GTA 4 was made on the PC.

 

Rockstar is simply forcing early adopter's to buy the console version of the game. Console games are less affected by piracy and sell way more than PC games do. It is in both Rockstar's and Microsoft's interest to bring the game to the Windows platform.

 

In about a month Rockstar will announce the PC version of the game, "due to excellent sales". Release will be through both Retail and Steam.

 

Expect it October 16th.

not only we should prove that after the release. we must now make rockstar realize how we love the game , i mean the rockstar guys were around the youtube deleting the videos which were posted by guys who got the copy earlier than release,

 

so those guys are around youtube everyday, so whatever we do, the guys at rockstar must be aware of it.

 

let us make a lot of short simple videos about our desire to play gta4 -upload on youtube- and make them release the pc version!!!!

Dont count on it. I bet October. The only big rumor we had so far was that french site, and they said october. It sounds good, because they released the other PC games 6-7 months after the announcement. They also announced the PC version 1 month after the console versions was released. Expect to hear something in 1 month

Ok A good way to find out how long it will take is to see how long it took for the others to go from console to PC?

So anyone know that, If so we can base are guesses on dat theorem.

 

Ok I just looked that up and saw that each has like a year spacing. lol

 

But it wa sthe same for the xbox aswell, So im thinking now that the xbox 360 and the ps3 ones are both done maybe, just maybe , they will have alot more time on the PC version. But I dont know how game making goes down.

As I said earlier, GTA4 was made for the PC first, then ported to X360 (easy) and PS3 (not so easy).

 

The reason is console games simply sell better, and this way they force early adapter's to go for a console version, thus paying more, and not downloading (unless you own a X360).

to be realistic; soonest release date would be November.. cuz big sells would be in this 6*8 months on consoles.. than PC sells begin.. and rockstar starts dancing

Let's also put in the account it is their first time releasing the Xbox 360 version at the same time as the PS3 version. Also, I think that it would be easy to port over to the PC quickly and easily. So like my theory earlier, they are probably adding in more availabilities into the PC version, strictly because the PC can handle way more than most consoles. So that means they could also be adding stuff like more players in online play, more gamemodes, or even a mod/map tool. That or they want more releases via console before all of the pirates come after the game.

Nooo... It was MADE on a PC, FOR the Consoles, which is an easy job as you have only 1 Video Card, 1 Sound Card, 1 Processor, 1 HDD, 1 set of everything else that you'll get inside. The problem you'll find about having a game for the PC is that you can have 20+ Video Cards, 20+Sound Cards, 20+Motherboards, 20+ HDD. 20+ Processors etc, so when you try and work out all the configurations that are available on the PC, then you are talking about effectively producing a game that can run on 100+ different configurations or 100+ Consoles.

 

But as I've said before countless times, there's no point in saying either way as it's a given that it will come out on the PC, we've just got to wait till the Lemmings (... see what I did thar) have bought up all the Console versions and Rockstar, Sony and Microsoft have made their little of money before Microsoft and Rockstar make a little bit extra by releasing the PC version in about 9 months... basically the PS3 ad XBox have just had it laldy and will give birth to a PC version in 9 months.

That implies that Rockstar actually give a sh*t about PC gamers, and clearly the do not.
