GTA IV for PC

Those search results you brought into attention, have nothing to do with our goal.They are ,in fact, some random forums that have the address of the web page therein.And sadly, those kind of linking won't help at all since it's not put the way it should be ,like my sig,like yours; with relevant and selective keywords.

I understand this, I just wanted to see if Google has crawled through our page, but it hasn't.

 

EDIT: Should we try this? As I understand it this guy used a couple of blogs with same keywords and the bomb bombed in one month. So, if we setup, say five, blogs and register them at Google adn put our link with keywords there, would that be enough? If yes, this can be done in half an hour.

I cant belive that they havent asked rockstar about the PC version in any interview.. But the game will be released for PC, just wait a month for them to announce it.. they just want to boost of the PS3 and Xbox sales first..

It is the stand of one of our popular company-localizers (name is "1C")

You can see logo and the text under the name of game: "continuation of a superpopular series"

Till this minute this company localized only games for the PC, and no for consoles.

Don't you get it?!!! if that movie on youtube is real,then Take2 gave us a sign that there will be a PC version!I think that they are still care about us,but they can't just say:"All right there will be a PC version!"because they are in contract with Microsoft and Sony,so

they had to remove that part from the website,but they knew that we won't belive it,so that's not effecting console sales but in other way they gave us a hope!

Edit: Nope. So either the video is a VERY clear edit, OR T2 have changed their minds (could it be because of the imminent Sony takeover? ), OR they really do have one in mind and removed it from the website to boost console sales cuz Sony told them too under some strange contract.

 

As a sideline, if they DID sign a "no-mention-PC" contract to boost console sales, do you think after all our bi7ching they'll do it again?

Hard? No, not in the slightest. Embarassing? Very. This whole thread is pretty painful to read as a PC gamer.

 

I obviously want to see GTA4 come out on the PC, because it would suit me. I have a PC that will run it, I don't have a 360 or a PS3 and I cannot currently justify throwing hundreds of pounds at one of them just for one game. Yes, Rockstar are treating PC gamers with little respect (but then if this thread was a true representation of PC gamers that could be understandable...) so I am just going to buck up, wait a month to see if they announce plans for the game on the PC or not and then make my plans from there. I will play this game one way or another and if I have to get an X-Box 360 for it then fine, I'll do that. It's not the first time a games developer has treated PC gamers shabbily, you just need to look at any EA Sports game on the PC, especially Madden which is just an abortion of a game that has not taken a step forward since 2005.

 

But get real. You think Rockstar have "sold out"? Do you know how much that makes you sound like whiny punk rock fans bleating because their favourite group suddenly got big for all their hard work? Newsflash. Rockstar are a publically listed company. They have a LEGAL obligation to do what is best for their shareholders, what will make them the most money. Amazingly, getting paid by Sony & Microsoft to have their game come out on their machines first is good business sense. Get over it. Money talks.

ÈÌÕÎ. If GTA4 will not leave on PC most likely it is necessary to buy xbox360 or playstation 3. Only I do not know what to take... Xbox break and Playstation 3 which reads disks from PS2 costs{stands} dearly{expensively} enough. And because of one game it would not be desirable to spend such money neither for that nor on another. Other games me and on PC suffices. So it is necessary to trust that will be fast the announcement or nevertheless it is necessary to buy console.

Ironically, the one thing that has boosted Take-Two's share value is the news that EA wishes to aquire them. And GTA SA sold twice as many copies than what IV is predicted to sell, meaning that your statement that "money talks" actually should force Rockstar to stick to the PS2, since approx ten times that many people has that console.

They may find short-term, easy, sleazy financial thrills to be "good business", but I disagree. Release it cross-platform, and you still get the sales, maintain the game's quality, maintain your fan base, and maintain a level of respect from your fans...all while forcing console manufacturing companies to actually bring something to the table themselves for once.

I'll take every single console review with a pinch of salt. The gaming industry is full of fanboys wetting their pants over the OMG NEXT GENERATIAN!!!1! The user reviews on gamespot, with proper spelling and grammar are way more useful to me.

Well, sometimes the used words and phrases are a little rough and not the way I would express it. But R* decided to ignore PC users completely and this makes me (and other PC gamers) angry. It's obviously they ignore the PC, just to "force" people who otherwise never wouldn't buy a console to buy one just for one game. This is business and R* can do whatever they want to do, but on the other side, we are free to express what we think about it.

Maybe for you it's o.k. to be the pawn of some companies interests, but for a lot of people it's not. And it's stupid to attack this people for expressing their anger.

Oh geez. I heard so much stories about GTA 4 crashing on peoples consoles. If thats true and the problem is real then R* will have to release it for PC in order to save their neck

You know, the more complains we see about the graphics, controls or bugs of IV, the better it is for the PC gamers. I mean, the PC version will obviously be updated and will have all those bugs fixed and I can't wait too see the look on the faces of all those who say that IV would suck on the PC.
