GTA IV for PC

I've been having a little bit of fun  .  As you may have seen there is some sort of messaging program on the GTA 4 website now :-

Sorry, I don't share your enthusiasm there. The only "fun" that I could possibly have with Rockstar Games' website, would be walking up to the physical web server and spearing it a few times with a crowbar. Then I'd take out the hard disks, stack 'em up, and use them as a base for a machine which tests the compression strength of concrete...concrete that is used in skyscraper construction.

Ok, so we might probably expect a PC announement from Rockstars 1 month after GTA IV is released? I sure hope i`ll come. But why do they keep this a secret? I would like to know if I want to spend my money on a consoles!

That, good sir, is exactly why they're not announcing it. They wanna boost the console sales along with the game. And by making us unsure about a PC release, we feel forced to buy consoles. I've decided to wait at least 'til June to give in.

Man, will I feel stupid when it comes to PC. I didn't buy a console for SA, why should I now... GODDDDAMANANAnANITTTT

Well, I guess it`s working! I will buy GTA IV for Xbox 360 as soon as the game is released, and I will buy the game for PC as well, just because its more fun to play multiplayer on PC.

Im positive that Rockstars will release GTA IV on PC. It started as a PC game and will keep that way. GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas was first announced for consolles only, right? But after a few months it was announced for PC. Right??

GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas were all ported to the PC 7-8 months after the console version. Rockstar hasn't said anything about a PC version but they definitely will port it.

What about some of us create a google bomb after all this disdain that R* have shown us as PC gamers.

For instance, it could rout all the traffic caused by some specific keywords to a particular fake website in order to appear on top of the search results. .erm such as one or more combination of the word GTA and the following: IV,SA,VC,PC,liberty city etc.

That web page could be anything from a simple text page to a bitterly provocative animation,image ,sound or any type of multimedia message which demonstrates our disappointment as to how nasty they treat the PC gaming world.

Just my two cents.

Yes, when I buy a game, and it comes in a proper PC game box/case, I feel better about having bought it. Something about having all PC games sitting spine-out on a shelf...looking almost exactly like XBox games...?...just something about it means that Microsoft is one f*cked-up company for wanting that to happen. Let's hope this Games for Windows crap isn't adopted by many publishers, and then it dies out.

OT: I just played Assassin's creed on my computer and... wow.

 

When I looked at the box, Games for windows was not written on it (I don't know why, that gave me a good feeling)

 

 

 

 

ps: If you really want to know if your pc can handle GTA4, just try a recent game on it (as COD4)

As said before, my PC is sh*tty, but it can handle CoD4 on medium. So... Yaaay? I'll be running IV on minimum, unless I decide to get new processor tomorrow and some more RAM. That guy made me jealous. GFX card can wait.

Still on the bash-train eh? If R* used this thread as a basis to whether or not to release the PC version, they would probably refuse to do so just to spite most of you. The tactics employed to politely request a PC version were all but polite (for the most part). If you try and guilt your girlfriend into doing something, you will likely not have a girlfriend the next day.

That's the beauty of it though. Rockstar doesn't care about us PC gamers...if they did, we'd have the game on April 29th. The only release they will release GTA IV on PC, is the money, and nothing else. So that is why I usually treat the company like complete worthless sh*t...because we'll most-likely be getting the game (for their wallet's sake), and there's nothing they can do about it.

If we join forces together ,it wouldn't be much of a hard work to create a google bomb like this .

I for one can look for some interested guys (on another forum which i'm a member of) who are familiar with know-how of google bombing and they'd join up with us to go about the evil work.One or two guys would be the brains then, and others could just refer to that site and watch the originated traffic building up on itself till we make it to rank the made-up web page on top.

It would be probably our final effort into putting our last word-to say the least- to be heard by R*'s typically deaf ears ,via the net.

I tell you what is really weird.

 

Watching this forum explode with anticipation and being completely unconcerned about the release of the game. I realise that for me it's not a release at all; but it still feels really strange to not be even remotely excited.

 

I wonder if I'll get a twinge of excitement when/if it's announced for the PC platform. Probably not as I'll just pre-order it and then forget about it until it arrives on my doorstep (and then I'll get excited).

 

But anyway, it's really strange reading this forum now.
