Yeah, sorry about that JAJ =/ My game crashed and I couldn't get it to work, so I couldn't call a forfeit.

 

 

Enter a building, this will often force the targets to warp - it has something to do with the interiors being located high above the planet. When they warp, sometimes they fall through the planet and die. Exit the building and enter the police vehicle to keep the timer going, if they don't warp and die on the exit, enter the building again.

 

I'll try this, thanks wink.gif This happens at a random point, not really any specific time.

 

Edit: Didn't work tounge.gif It's seems like this glitch happens with all the other Vigilante missions as well =/

IIRC, CJ uses an AK-47 to shoot the chasing cops at the end of the mission, and this game tends to play nasty tricks with weapons that are used during the mission.

Looks like I'm going to miss the entire round, though I'll try not to.

 

My dad, somehow, managed to scratch my SA disc. So, I guess it'll be some time before I get a new disc (my 3rd SA disc in 2 years!!!).

 

Anyways, enjoy the round, guys.

Guess what?

Yeah, we got barriers at the bridges from the Badlands to LS! Very interesting! The barriers are still on the Martin Bridge as they should be.

We will start over with the Reuniting the Families save: <here>.

Couple of questions;

GTAGangsta58: Is your game Version 2?

Could someone with V2 please check & see if they have the barriers from the Badlands to LS & see if there are barriers at the Martin Bridge?

 

I'm beginning to think that it's when a V2 gamer does an area unlocking mission the V1 players will get the barriers & the V2 gamer will have none plus no barriers at the Martin Bridge, etc.

 

I'll check it further when I get back from diner.

I have v.2 of the game, and I have no barriers anwhere in the state-in fact, for some reason I had no barriers in the very beginning of the game.

I think we should do it where only v.1 players do the missions that open the new areas(ie. The Green Sabre, and Ya Ka Boom Boom), and see if that helps. Like JAJ said, can we get another V.2 user to verify this as a second opinion. If it is like JAJ said, where if a v.2 player who does an area opening mission is the cause, would it help if V.2 players that want to do those missions use the v.1 script/main.scm file, because I have V.1 scripts in my folder, but only use the V.2 ones that came with the game.

It's very interesting how you didn't have any barriers "in the very beginning of the game", I'll bet that would have made doing 4-star wanted level stuff a little easier. smile.gif

Bridge Barrier Glitch

 

That's really interesting - this time the glitch appeared in an unmodded v2 game, so it looks as if it's not the fault of pdescobars modded savegame, but something else.

 

I thinks there's two possibilities left: Either it's a v1/v2 thing, as in

Or, the whole bridge barrier dodginess originates from the game having been saved on a downgraded v2 on some point.

BTW, I don't know much about downgraded v2s, but I do know that a while ago I *had* to use v2 scripts to play an SnP that came from a downgraded v2.

I use the original V.2 script files (the ones that came with the game when I first installed it), and it is the ones that are used when playing the chain game. Every now and then I have to run the save through pdescobar's "sa id converter" program before I can play in the game, is that what's wrong, you think? In the last chain game I participated in, I had Demerst's Mission Passers' code tool (main.scm) in place when doing the chain game, but the missions I did were ones that were not suppoted by the code tool so I still had to do them as usual-all the code tool does is act as a SNP replacement just like the Time Vault code tools for GTA 3 and VC.-so i'm pretty sure that has no barring on the barriers in game. But this round it is the original script and main.scm files as stated in my first sentence. Hope this helps.

 

PS- as for the downgraded question, I only used the V.1 scripts one time (I was just testing it out to see if it worked on a V.2 game, but that was before this round started.

I play w/ a v2. It was downgraded, I went through alot of trouble to get the patch off..I'm pretty sure it is...but if its not, then Oh Well.....
