Yeah, told Oblivionz about 40% of the Batman story, which I have entirely planned out, including one scene that i'm really looking forward to writing... and I know he's all excited for it.

It's just finding the time to get the chapters down... they take a while to write.. proof read.. edit.. then post. Been very busy lately, but Patience! It will be worth the wait

I want You're the Blade up by Halloween, but given my track record I can see myself failing my self-imposed deadline. Though I'm 60% certain I'll have the flashback and Ayalon Highway scenes written by then, so perhaps I'll post a teaser using that stuff. I want Rough Diamonds to be a November/December thing as that's when it's set.

Coursework is really putting any story ideas that I had on hold. I've already written my Short Story entry for this month, but it feels wrong. I'm not feeling very creative at the moment, but i'll try fix it up, but I'll post it regardless I think. Just because I think it's an awesome idea. I'm modest.

Post it Mark, it's most likely you've over-analysed it and now it loses it's impact. With us, it'll most likely be very impressive. Don't hold back!

 

As for my "What's The Idea?" concept, it's really picked up, I may make it a regular thing if everyone's alright with that. I can get some really off-the-wall and completely unrelated storylines generated.

I haven't forgotten about San Fierro Stories! I've been thinking about it a lot recently and hope to continue, but can never find the motivation. I've still got half the next installment written and saved somewhere; if I do find my steam again and continue it, I promise not to half-arsedly and hurriedly wrap it up and finish it off quickly. I knew I'd finish a situation like this even when I first started, when I was churning out 1, 2, installments a day. My goal? Continue the script by mid-November.

I have an idea for a story about two foreign exchange students trying to escape a zombie outbreak. But there are also vampires as well as zombies. I might post it as a seperate story, or post it as a BUYG story for their Halloween event.

I also got a zombie thing up my sleeve, but with my track record I wouldn't expect much to come of it; it's called Waking Nightmare, which I've got a thorough and solid plot for which is even kind of plausible.

Oh God, the last two half hour episodes have been so f*cking frustrating. I think it may have been a mistake to serialise it.

 

Anyone seen the choose-your-own-adventure type story posted earlier? I'm thinking about some ideas for one myself, but it'd be quite a project, as I'd want a separate post for each "chapter"...

The "choose your own fate" idea is a good one but very hard to implement. If done, it'd be one of the most unique concepts to hit WD. It reminds me of the Goosebumps books... at least I think it was Goosebumps. You'd read one page and depending on what you wanted to do in the story you'd turn to the appropriate page. Really well done and well written.

I remember that, Craig. There was one where you went into the basement and you could eat a sandwich with some really old jelly, or some really old peanut butter. One made you grow until you were a giant, and the other shrank you.

 

Anyway, getting back onto the topic of ideas, I've got one. A family is on a vacation on Halloween, in Richmond, Indiana (my hometown), and they decide to stop at a corn maze. Only problem is, the family becomes separated and lost in the corn field. Weird things start to happen, and when they finally find each other, it's at a small clearing filled with the rotting and decomposing corpses of other people who have entered the maze.

I'm kind of toying with an al-Qaeda story; a [Caucasian] British person seeks them out to join them because s/he hates society and wants payback due to having experienced some seriously awful things, and you see him/her train at a camp in Iraq, leading up to their total disappearance in their own cynicism (right word?) and decapitating a fellow Brit on tape with a group of other terrorists.

 

I would end the main character's journey of self destruction with a bombing but that's a bit controvseral and cliché.

I dunno what awful things you have in mind that the main character has experienced, but I have an idea. How about s/he enlists in the war in Afghanistan/Iraq to fight in the UK army, gets a bit of leave and heads back to his hometown. Then he rejoins them in the same place, but is captured. Then he could be brainwashed/realise how much he hates the Western way of life, and joins his captors - Al-Qaeda.

 

The end could be a failed bomb attempt? Maybe he's luring some US/UK forces into a cave or valley, and he tries to set off bombs which hes set, then they fail and he's shot dead?

 

All just ideas, I'll chat on MSN about them if you like .

Not sure if you remember but I mentioned a project called Bad Company about government agents, well I've changed it to an al-Qaeda thing. The main character's an ex-British Army soldier who was raped and because of his newfound cynicism[?] for society, he travelled to the Middle East in search of terrorist groups to join; that's a basic outline for his backstory.

I'm still brainstorming ideas for my Clockwork People. So far I have a homeless guy, a broke Italian waiter, a cheating businessman, and a few others hanging around in Word documents. Not rushing it though since I should be busy with other things.

I'm trying to write a version of GTA IV set in the GTA3 canon. Niko does most of his work for the Leones and some small jobs for the Yardies and Southside Hoods. But I'm trying to find a villian. Who should it be? The only GTA 4 characters I'm including are Niko, Roman, and possibly Jimmy Pegorino.

 

These are my villian ideas.

 

1.-The Yakuza, now the most powerful gang in Liberty

 

2.-The Colombian Cartel, wanting to build themselves back up

 

3.-Tommy Vercetti, trying to expand out north

 

4.-Wu Zi Mu, moving in from San Fierro and trying to take over Liberty City Triad businesses.

 

5.-The Sindaccos and Forellis, based in Venturas and out to re-take Liberty City from the Leones and Yakuza. One of these families is led by Jimmy Pegorino.

 

6.-Darkel, a vengeful street urchin out to destroy the city's economy. (I know he's not a real GTA character, but he has a certain interesting element of mystery to him)

 

7.-Donald Love, finally out of hiding.

I'm a Darkel fanboy and I don't think there's nearly, if any, fanfics involving him. So that'd be my choice. But I think any of the other potential villains you got lined up would work better as antagonists, so I'm not sure.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've now decided Darkel will be the main antagonist of the whole story, while Wu Zi Mu, Jimmy Pegorino(Don of the Forellis), and Tommy Vercetti will be the antagonists of the Portland, Staunton Island, and Shoreside Vale chapters respectively.

 

Also, is it okay if I make a story-based RPG here in the WD? It's like BUYG meets the Letifer Organization. I'll explain how it works later.
