Lurch Posted April 23, 2010 Share Posted April 23, 2010 (edited) The 986 (96-04) Boxster weighed in at 2822lbs (2956 with Tiptronic). That isn't "way under" 3000lbs. The Z3 with the 1.8L 4 banger weighed in at 2590, which, when you count for the motor size increase and the size increase due to crash saftey standards and crumple zones, that isn't all too bad. I'm seeing 2755 for a base 97 Boxster, which I would consider well under 3k. And for the Z, yes, even with a bigger engine and recent crash test standards bullsh*t, I still consider a 700 lbs. increase to be pretty bad. Especially in what's supposed to be a small sports car. I mean it's heavier than my 535i, which is pretty loaded even by modern standards and has some incredibly mahoosive bumpers. I've heard worse. And I think you meant "the most sexist" not just "the sexist". Anyways, I'm going to go get going. Need to make sure my wife isn't driving a car because she should be in the kitchen making me dinner, or ready to accept my male juice to make babies. And I swear if she has a magazine in her hand again I'll slap her silly until she forgets how to read. Women have no place reading or learning unless it's about making babies or sandwiches.
