PURPOSE Welcome to the new Writer's Disccusion Hall of Fame! The purpose of this topic will be to list some of the forum's most memorable works, whether they are original pieces, pieces of fan-fiction, or even poetry. This will provide new members with a readily available list of pieces that will be extremely enjoyable to read. WHAT GOES ONTO THE LIST? Any piece in the Writer's Discussion forum is eligible to be placed onto the Hall of Fame - any! They can be finished or even still in progress - but the chances of it being accepted are greater if the piece is closer to completion. If an author applies with a half-finished work and it is rejected, they may apply again once the piece is completed. In order for such pieces to be placed onto the list, the author of the work must fill out a brief application form and PM it to me (Eminence), where it will be decided whether it is worthy of gracing the list. Many will be accepted, some may not - if not, then don't worry about it or take it personally, and continue to write in order to hopefully achieve Hall of Fame status with the next piece! HOW TO APPLY If you've written anything in the Writer's Discussion forum, then you (the author) must fill out the application form below and PM it to Eminence. Author:Title:Category:Genre:Description:Extra: On the application, author and title are self-explanatory. Within the title, it would be helpful to include a link to the specified piece. The category should specify what the piece is - whether it is an original piece of prose, a fan-fiction, or a piece of poetry, for example. It can also specify what type of piece it is, for example if it is prose, it can detail whether the piece is a novel/series or simply a short story. The genre applies mainly pieces of prose, and is again self-explanatory - thriller, horror, action etc. Within the description, the author should write a brief explanation on what the piece is about, a couple sentences maximum will be sufficient. Extra can include any other information that the author may feel is relevant, and therefore may be left blank at the author's discretion. This can also include the current status of the story: whether it is completed, in progress etc. Applications not adhering to the above standards will not be accepted. THE HALL OF FAME The list of Hall of Fame pieces is currently empty. Author's should feel free to send in their applications: all will be considered! Once the list begins to grow it will be split into numerous sections to further help potential reader's find something they are interested in - similarly to the Forum Library. NOTE: We understand that this will not be a complete collection of all of the top pieces in forum history - unfortunately, pieces dated from several years back cannot be included as the links to their topics are no longer viewable. We understand that there were several very high quality pieces from this era of the forum, and so it is a shame that they are no longer readable. I think other people should be able to apply for someones piece to go in though. Most of us here are modest, and might feel awkward about applying. Though I doubt I'll be included there, my first fanfic wasn't that good (not that the second one is splendid, it's just better than the first). Maybe I should apply the second one as well. It was well recieved, but i dont think it is "hall of fame" status. I'm currently working on an original piece. Mafia stuff. lol If that garners popularity, i'll consider it.
