Book Trivia

Since this place is filled with many literate people who are very interested in books and writing small stories, I thought that I would make a Quiz Game for anyone who has read to a long enough extent that they could be quized on it. Well, here's that quiz.

How it Works: I ask the first question and then people guess the answer. The first one to get it right gets a point and gets to ask another question. If they pass, then the first person to ask a question gets it. When someone else guesses that question correctly, then the cycle continues.

Trivia Rules:

1. No spamming

2. No chatting. This is a quiz, just like in school, you can't talk during a quiz. Keep chatting away from here if possible.

3. Don't hurt our smiles. They are to express emotion and are not just little pretty faces that you can rape.

4. No abuse. I want everyone to be happy and intelligent about what they are about to send off to be seen by many people who have different views than eachother.

5. The question must be related to books and/or just the area of literature.

Scoreboard:

1.Remember This. (5)

I like the idea. It's probably gonna get locked, although I hope it doesn't.

I like the concept, but am confused on how it works. First person to guess right gets a point?

Yeah. I'll keep updating the scores from time to time and when this one gets full, I'll start the next version. It's just like any GTA trivia, but about literature. sly.gif

Remember This.

Woohoo!

I'm number 1!

Heh. Sorry. Okay, my question is:

How many different Dan Brown (author of The DaVinci Code) books have been published to date, and can you name them all?

•The Da Vinci Code

•Angels & Demons

•Deception Point

•Digital Fortress

My questions will be far too hard, so it's a free question after me. smile.gif

All I did was search google for Dan Brown Bibliography tounge.gif.

Let me see. Ah, manofpeace will like this one:

Name the four gunslingers from Stephen King's series "The Dark Tower". Oy isn't included.

Another Lord of the Rings question, you're going to have to be a real nerd for this one: Bilbo Baggins is a direct descendant of which famous hobbit? He is mentioned quite a few times in the books, in referring to the hobbit's heritage.

Belladonna Took?

Bungo Baggins?

You got the Took one right, although it's a different much more famous Took.

HINT: It is Bilbo's grandfather.

EDIT: If the question's too hard, I'll ask another.

Oh, I looked. But there's so many different things about Lord of the Rings it's unbelievable. I mean, you guys should know - you keep guessing wrong! tounge.gif

Alright no one's gonna get the question right, so I'll just tell you guys. It was Gerontius, otherwise known as 'the Old Took'.

New question: Name the amount of mystical rings given to each race.

Remember This.

I know that his Mother was Belladonna Took, and his father was Bungo Baggins. There aren't any more famous people on Bungo's side as far as I know, so the only one it could be would be Belladonna Took's Father, Old Took. (I don't think he is referred to as anything other than that.

EDIT:

f*ck! I GOT THAT.

Ah well. It was 9 for the kings of men, 7 for the dwarves, 3 for the elves and 1 master ring for Sauron himself. I think. I might be missing a race though.

Well, I had 'The Return of the King' with me, it says his real name is Gerontius, then it says 'The Old Took'. He's mentioned numerous times in the book.

Everyone went directly to wikipedia when I asked the new question, didn't they?
