I'm using a HP Pavillion, which has a built-in webcam. I want to use it for a video call over Messenger, but the button to start the webcam doesn't appear on the window. I later found out the the computer doesn't detect my webcam. How can I fix this, so that my computer can detect my webcam? It's quite weird, as I said, it is built-in, so it can't be a connection problem... confused.gif

By HP Pavilion, I'm guessing you mean laptop (?) because they do make Pavilion desktops as well. Since desktops rarely have webcams built in.

It sounds like you don't have your driver and software for your webcam installed. Try going here and entering your product name (ex: pavilion 2500) and find the webcam software and driver.

If it still doesn't work after install, I'm not sure. Does it work in some programs but not all or never at all?
