Back in business after almost 2 years!

 

For those who remember it, this is the next version of VC Mp3 Station Control.

 

Update - Version 2 released

 

Features

- Support of playlists

- Better display

- Beta support for ID3v1/2 tags

- Browsing list

 

Issues

- Keyboard input is blocked when browsing through the list. If you exit the car without closing the list, keyboard will remain blocked.

 

Update

- Support for more vc versions (1.0 german, 1.0/1.1 english tested)

- minor bug fixing

Did some work this night, ID3v1 tags are supported, v2 hopefully soon. Also the display has undergone some changes, hope it looks better now.

And what you see on the screenshot is a list, you'll be able to browse through, e.g. to find some song faster.

Thank you both. As I'm killing bugs right now, I made a small video showing how it should look like now. I hope to release some fine version later today.

 

As YouTube is slow as hell with processing my video, I uploaded it somewhere else, it's only 24s at 9MB, don't expect too much. Just shows the display etc.

Oh hell yeah. I've been thinking of making my radio station because I don't like listening to my custom songs at the same exact position every single time I load my save files, and because I'm sick of them looping. This will save me the trouble of making a custom radio station, though I'll probably do that anyway.

Easiest way to do that is to use Hammer83's vcversion module. I can give you the converted code for C++, if you want, so that you can just implement it into your own ASI as opposed to an external DLL.

Thanks to ModelingMan, it should support more versions of Vice City now. I tested german 1.0, and english 1.0 / 1.1.

 

Fixed 2 minor bugs in the update. Now the random number generator gets initialized. Seems I've been too happy about shuffle, that I completely forgot it.

I'd like to have permission from you for using parts of the source code to set-up my own in-game menus for the next version of GTA:MA - to allow users to configure button combos/moves.

Guess you're talking about the font functions, of course. I allready thought about putting it somewhere for everyone to read, but the memory address thread isn't the right one for that I think. Maybe we should make another thread where we share some code?

 

I experimented with those functions about 2 years ago, but it was spookie who helped me getting it right. So a big thank goes out to spookie.

 

Besides, everything of the source can be used without permission, that's why I released it.

They are just plain textfiles, with a absolute path to a mp3 file in each line.

 

Assumed your music files are stored in C:\music\ then one example playlist could look like this:

 

 

C:\music\track01.mp3

C:\music\track02.mp3

C:\music\artist2\track06.mp3

 

 

They don't have to be named .m3u by the way. Almost every player supports playlist: winamp, xampp, windows media player (even though he does seem to use relative path, which won't work) and many others.

@*sigh*: You probably didn't read the README. Which is made for a reason. If you did, show me your config file.

 

@speedlifes: Could you post your config file here? Be sure to remove the # from the line with your radio station.

Is "C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Owner\My Documents\Steve" really the path to your playlist file? If that's the case, could you post some lines of the content here, just to check if it's valid?

I need some help with the mod.

The read me file that comes with the mod don't really tell much.

for example, where should I place the files of the mod. where should I place the m3u play list, where should I place my mp3 files, how to execute the mod etc.

Also, should I delete all the # symbols from the configuration file?

Please help me out.

BUt since its based on d3dl and i am using other mods and it dont support maultile dll handlig ETC. watever ir is

 

so i wanted to use the second version but when i put the asi and cfg file in root directory it does nothing

 

I have given the correct path of playlist also

but it should be step by step i have the text file
