Adriaan
So most of you probably know about this billboard in GTA San Andreas...  http://www.gta-series.com/it/sanandreas/se...tereggs/054.jpg  I think it will be quite interesting to see what R* will do for Saints Row, I mean the chances are pretty good that they'll do it, considering how certain elements are so close to GTA, and more specific, GTA San Andreas.  (What's up with the ped committing suicide by jumping into river... I wonder which game did that in 2004...)  My guess is maybe an ad for a movie showing nuns rowing down a river...  Or a spoof by using the same font and writing "Death Row"... as in Saints Row / Saints Row 2 will die the day GTA IV releases. The ideas are endless... so perhaps you guys would like to share yours...
Bren_34
Saints Row was much better then True Crime too, they should both respect it, and dis it. Saints Row had Alot of Original Ideas and I don't consider it copying GTA much. Even then, GTA copied the first driver game . Death's Row sounds good, I can't come up with any ideas. Â Also, off topic, it's a big pet peeve when people say a game copied GTA. Hello? GTA wasn't original to begin with. Nothing is original and has happened before. Adriaan
Well I didn't say Saints Row copied GTA, but I will say there are some certain elements in there that is SOO close to GTA, and I'm not talking about the concept of Grand Theft Auto. Â So please don't let this topic steer into that direction... Â (Besides, Saints Row is actually more like GTA than True Crime Streets of LA (you play a cop etc.), so I don't see why that should stop them from just bringing in some humor in there.) EasyAs
no... I got it. Â Â Call it Death Row, or whatever you want, but make sure it resembles the game name. Then have a talkshow on the radio discussing the newest violent killing game on the market corrupting children "Death Row!" Then have a surprise appearance by Jackson Thomas (ah, ah!) two birds will be feeled with a single stone

million-2-1
Ya I can't wait to see if or how R* will be different about there funny stuff since the game will be different in style this time.  Oh, BTW   Saints Row was much better then True Crime too, they should both respect it, and dis it. Saints Row had Alot of Original Ideas and I don't consider it copying GTA much. Even then, GTA copied the first driver game . Death's Row sounds good, I can't come up with any ideas. Also, off topic, it's a big pet peeve when people say a game copied GTA. Hello? GTA wasn't original to begin with. Nothing is original and has happened before.  I don't want to get off topic, but the original Grand Theft Auto was release on the PC October 1997, then re-released on the PS Oct. 98. (Although some places like Gamespot say the release was Feb 28, 1998, contradicting what the official site says, but either way it was out before Driver.)  Driver on the other hand was released on Jun 30, 1999. Unless your speaking of 3D world, no, GTA is the best and the first. Check at the bottom of this page for a timeline of the GTA series Sorry, that was just bugging me. Topher Ridge
Agreed GTA was the first to open city gameplay. Â Really I think the best way to do it would be to put it in a mission. Â Roman along with all the other groups he owes money to also owes money to an up and coming street gang named the 5th Street Taints. Roman askes you to go take out one of their leaders. When you get their they just start running around like pansies and die in one hit. When you get to their boss he doesn't talk at all and just mimes orders to the gang. Â That's the best I got, feel free to add or tweek it to make it a little better.
