I'm addicted to Bloodborne. I still can't believe how stupid I was and didn't have the patience to learn how to properly play it. It's an incredible experience that's been purchased over a year ago and due to my stupidity, was left to rot in my backlog. I take everything back. I feel a need to apologize now. Sorry bloodborne.

Once you get the hang of it, this game is so much fun. I love the creepy atmosphere, the dying, the combat and especially feeling like a badass when you make a big blood haul, level up and suddenly the areas that kicked you in the balls more times than you can count become cakewalk rainbow grinding grounds.

If you've given up on Bloodborne like I did: grow a ball or two and try it over and over again until you learn it. It's such a bittersweet game, it blows my mind that I thought "it's too hard" and "not my kind of game". It wasn't. If I could get into it, so can every halfway decent gamer.

Glad to see someone else enjoying bloodborne! Its my personal favorite game in soulsborne franchise. If you haven't already, I recommend buying the dlc, it's even more difficult but the content in it is great.

OT: I've mostly been switching between Yakuza 0 and Kingdom Hearts 2. I found the first chapter for Yakuza 0 pretty slow but once I was able to explore the area and do substories, I'm having a blast. Seriously some of these substories are hilarious. As for Kingdom Hearts 2, I'm definitely enjoying this more than the other games in the series (They all felt like a drag to me).

Yeah, I remember watching a short intro of The Old Hunters on youtube because I was curious what's so hard about starting the DLC. I'll try to finish the game first before buying it though.

I've gotten quite far actually, beat 4 main bosses so far and feel pretty buffed. I've also unlocked those ritual dungeons and found another secret dungeon by getting killed near the cathedral.

I think I'll do just fine this time around. In my first 3 tries to get into the game, I haven't even reached the first boss.

Oh and I loved Yakuza 0, despite some outdated mechanics. This one is high up on my GOTY list. I'd recommend taking a break before buying Kiwami though, if you plan to buy it.

I installed Witcher 1 today and played it for about an hour. Even though it hasn't aged that gracefully, it's pretty fun so far. After playing Witcher 3 and reading the books, I felt I should complete the collection and play 1 and 2.

I'm playing Prominence Poker a lot and loving it. I'm gold and won a game against 2 platinum players which I was proud of. It was my second game as gold rank and my first time ever seeing platinum rank players. When it got down to the last three it was me vs two platinum players. Went from chip loser with barely 3,000 worth of chips at one stage to winning the game. I love those come-back games.

I'm also playing Need For Speed: Payback. Quite enjoying it. Played a little MP for the first time last night. Pretty intense races and a lot of fun.

Games I have on hold but am dipping in and out of is Fallout 4, Skyrim SE, Quantum Break and Wolfenstein: TNO.

I also bought Elite: Dangerous but need to spend more time breaking in to it. It's hard to as I'm distracted with so many other games.

I've been playing PUBG on XBox One to see what the fuss is about. When it works it's a lot of fun but It's still in game preview. I've had a couple of crashes and rubber banding. Also, a squad mate killed me last night so I reported him on XB1 and the PUBG website. (Although I think reports aren't dealt with quickly on the pubg forums.)

Apart from that, I've been loving ReCore Definitive Edition.

OH MY GOD I ALMOST FINISHED BLOODBORNE

I had a peak in a walkthrough just to see how far I am and it seems like I have 1.5 main areas left to explore. Currently at the Nightmare of Memphis lantern. It seems like I've missed an optional area completely but f*ck it, I'm not going back now. I barely scratched the optional randomized dungeons too and only collected one of the chalices.

I don't think I'll stick around to see everything the game has to offer, at least not for now. I think I'll replay it in the future. I loved it so far but I'm not planning to be too "hardcore" about it. I'm simply happy that I've finally almost finished it after a year in my backlog and countless attempts to like the game.

Rom the spider was the hardest boss so far imo.

HZD Complete Edition. So glad to finally be playing it, it's a stunning game. Only about 4-5 hours in but I get so distracted exploring, it's a beautiful open world so far.

Finishing up Shadow of Mordor and finally getting around to COD Advanced Warfare. SoW was good except for the interruptions in fights for boss dialog when you first come into contact. Fans of Batman should enjoy

PUBG on OG Xbone. Got it before they started raising the price like they did with Conan Exiles.

I'm sh*t but the game is fun, and I like the theme. Also love lobby fist fights lol.

Currently playing Sims 4 and Nioh. I return to Sims when I need to calm my nerves... or so I thought. Then I need to take care of my two toddlers, jobs and the babies that I made with three different neighbors lmao.

Nioh is great fun, it plays more like a "normal" video game when compared to Bloodborne, if that makes sense. You have a good story that tells you what's going on, more familiar RPG mechanics while also being fairly complex, tutorials, going from mission to mission and an easier learning curve.

Loving how this game feels. It simply plays good and fast and the stances system is amazing. With every weapon, you can stand low, in the middle or high to adjust your damage and speed.

I'm proud to say that I beat the first real boss on my 3rd try. Everyone on the internet said how hard he is even to hardcore dark souls players but once I activated my living weapon powerup, his health dropped to 1/4 and his chains got cut. Then you simply had to hit him, dodge when he attacks and go back at him. Similar pattern to bloodborne bosses.

The enviroments are a bit lackluster and not even close to BB. So far I've been to a very bland and generic village and... a cave. The simplest cave you can imagine with a short outside section or two. I love the japaneese mythology and folklore in this game though, that makes up for it.

Been playing unhealthy amounts of Total War: Warhammer. I rarely get addicted to a game like this, it's just really fun to try and conquer the whole map. Probably gonna switch off the game after I'm done with the current campaign, because I don't wanna just spend most of my days on this one game when I got school and stuff. Eventually I'll have to buy the sequel tho, I've heard it's even better.

Started Planescape: Torment, and Mass Effect. Recently just finally finished Knights Of The Old Republic 2, after multiple failed playthroughs that had their save files go f*cked.

Despite the hundreds of games I own and at least 10 I planned on starting/finishing, I am only playing PUBG and Escape from Tarkov, and these are likely to be the only games I play from now on.

I have ascended.

Finished AC:O and was disappointed in some ways. I like the new combat system and the improved side quests & Bayek is a great protagonist but damm does the story suck ass and the characters are crap as well (apart from the MC).

Ffs, I swear I was up and ready to quit Nioh and damn this game into oblivion.

I'm not even halfway through yet. Yuki-Onna has been giving me hell. I was stuck at this boss for 4 days. Best thing about it, I knew exactly what I was suppossed to do and still got f*cked. I wasn't underleveled or lacked items. It's her two near impossible to avoid attacks.

Of course, not the first boss I had trouble with. They're all so f*cking hard and frustrating. Makes me want to just quit and forget I ever played it.

Finally managed to beat her today so the dopamine is all back :p but goddamn, having a really hard time with this game.

Currently playing Nioh, Sims 4, NFS Payback and also began replaying DE Mankind Divided. Not playing Sims a lot though. It's pretty much a backlog game now unless I'm too pissed at Nioh. Then I switch between either NFS or DE. Playing DE today and switching to NFS tomorrow.

Been playing this Cyberpunk horror game called Observer. It's alright, not as good as I hoped tho really. In the game you're playing as an "Observer" who is apparently a sort of cop who can look into people's dreams. Most of the horror stuff happens in those dream sequences and those are my favorite part of the game as they are trippy and creepy as hell. They do have some repeated elements that get a bit old and there was one particular dream in a side quest that was actually kinda boring, but for the most part they've been pretty great.

The rest of the game isn't really as interesting, you're basically investigating a murder in this big boring apartment building and talking with the people who live there. The dialogue is okay, but it hasn't really made me that interested in the game's world. There's basically this big evil corporation that controls everything and most people are living sh*tty lives and have all these augmentations that come with their benefits and dangers, it's pretty standard dystopian future stuff. Some of the voice acting is pretty cartooney as well.

The game has this scanning investigation system which pretty much just boils down to looking at certain objects in the crime scene and it gives you information about them. Would have been nice to actually have some kind of system where you have to piece together what's happened, but idk maybe the devs didn't want to focus on mechanical complexity.

It definitely has me intrigued enough to finish it, but I think I'm a little disappointed with the game after seeing the trailers.

edit:

Also I was thinking of starting to play the new Hitman. I've never played any Hitman games, but as a big fan of games like Dishonored, it definitely seems like the type of thing I would enjoy a lot.

Only Hitman game I ever played was Absolution. Pretty good but the disguise mechanic is a pain. They fill up a level entirely of one type of guard and expect you to use instinct for practically the whole level if you want to disguise yourself.

Other than that, I've been completing some challenges in it. Mostly suit-only, figuring out routes to objectives without being noticed. Some are so insane though like Dexter Industries where you gotta use the most precise route.
