Fire extinguisher doesn't appear

Usually Fire extinguisher appears in "Well Stacked Pizza Parlor" near CJ's house. But for some reason its not appearing right from the start of the game. Even if I start a new game it doesn't. If a remove the memory card and then start a new game then it appears. Could this happen to other items as well? Is this a glitch?

First of all, congratulations. Seriously. It sounds like you gave it your best before turning to others

 

If you start a new game without your memcard in, and suddenly they appear again, I'd say it is most certainly a glitch. Unfortunately, you've also touched upon the only "solution" for this.

 

Have you checked other spawn points? Still, this seems odd as I don't see anything in the code that would seek to inhibit these pickups from appearing.

try to get SA disk off your friend and load game off your memory cars. maybe the disk is scratched? though you get exstinguisher with no memory card in so it shouldnt be it...

If scratched disc was the issue, a new game wouldn't fix it. This is just like GTAIII's Purple Nines glitch. Why a new game at all cares about a previously completed one, I don't know. But this is proof that it still happens even with SA.

These are PC version notes, but I suspect it lends a clue to your glitch. My thought is that completing the firefighter mission is carrying over from a previous save in much the same way as the girlfriend weapon bonuses. This usually isn't a problem/benefit on the PC version of San Andreas

Fire extinguishers (500 'ammo') are available in the Pizza Stacks and

Burger Shots until you complete the firefighting mission. Fire extinguishers

take the place of camera and paint, so you probably won't want these for

right now.

 

Bug: Sometimes if you've started a new game right after quitting another game,

the fire extinguishers will fail to appear in the Pizza Stacks and Burger Shots.

They will still appear near the gas stations, though.
