Newbie Question: How to Save a Game?

Hi,

 

I got this game just yesterday and has been trying to come to term with it. I'm still trying to figure out on how to save an ongoing game or is it due to the fact that I'm running it on Windows Vista, I'm not able to see this option

In any Grand Theft Auto game, you cannot just press ESC and save the game. There are safehouses throughout the map of San Andreas. You are supposed to enter those safehouses and then save your game by walking over a 'floppy' like icon. This obviously means that you cannot save your game in the middle of a mission.

Heres a quick tutorial i made in 5 minutes on how to do it

go to your safe house in grove street,get in the yellow mark in the kitchen you will see a little disc go in it and save your game

After you complete the first mission, you can't proceed in the story until you enter CJ's house. Then when you do, it tells you balls out how to save your game.

 

I urge you to pay attention to such pop-up messages. They occur throughout the game and tell you information you'll need to know. Also, the pausemap legend will point out the locations where you can save. And so on.
