I am buying a PS3 or 360 before October because GTAIV is coming out. I would get one anyway eventually though, but I am definitely getting one before October because of this game.

 

 

This could be a poll. Acutally, maybe there already was one when I come to think about it?

I have ps3 and a psp. I have bought these systems to play gta. I have every gta game so far.

1. GTA III

2. GTA Vice City

3. GTA San Andreas

4. GTA Liberty City Stories PS2 and PSP

5. GTA Vice City Stories PS2 and PSP

Will get the 360 and ill have

6. GTA IV PS3 And 360

7. GTA IV Special Edition PS3 And 360.

I have already made the preorders. Love gta. Im trying to buy the PS1 GTA Versions.

I probably would buy one of the console just to play this game. I have to admit there aren't really any other games that is "must have" material to me this year apart from a few games, in 2008 there are a lot yeah but in the remaining months of 2007 Manhunt 2 and Grand Theft Auto IV are on top of my anticapation list.

 

I have been selling on Ebay and with my earnings I am buying a Playstation 3 and the Grand Theft Auto IV Special Edition for the Playstation 3. It will likely come up to £430 in total but so be it. I have enough saved now to get both. cool.gif

I have both a PS3 GTA and a 360 GTA reserved at gamestop as I write this. Actually, I'm looking right at the tickets for them.

 

Here's the scenario: On the day of release, I'll wake up real early (or not go to sleep at all biggrin.gif ) and I'll get online and open up about 5 tabs on my firefox browser. One set for this site, and another set for each of the major game sites who regularly do reviews and comparisons. After seeing the comparisons, I will decide which console to buy based on graphics and smoothness of gameplay on either system. I for damn sure am THAT big of a GTA fan to actually judge which console to buy based on those things. However, it should be noted what R* has stated on the subject though:

"They will both be the same," says Brown "We're still trying to solve all the riddles on both platforms; there is no target console... obviously it was in development a little bit longer on Xbox 360, just because people had access to the tools earlier, hence the PS3 [version currently] being slightly behind, but we'll probably be catching up in about a month on that. But in terms of actual development for both, to be honest I think they both have their own pleasures and pains. But the ultimate goal is for them both to be fantastic come October."

 

So people shouldn't be like me if they want a console now. You should go with what games you want. For me, DLC status, MGS4's exclusiveness, and whether or not GTA will actually play better on one of the consoles -- all that will ultimately decide it for me.

 

But to answer the TS. Yes, I'm going "nex-gen" and buying a new console simply because of GTA. tounge.gif

I have them. Well # 1 but still controls are a lil hard. NO HOMO. Still i think ill like the ps1 better cuz of the control. Since am used to ps2. Like when i play gta for xbox. Is dificult for me. a lil.

after owning/playing both the pc and the ps1 versions, the pc game just runs better to me, it has nothing to do with controls, it just plays better - tho I think windows xp may have screwed that up because I tried to install gta2 on my new computer the other day and it wont run cryani.gif

Maybe they will do a midnight release - tho my gamestop let the people who preorder SA pick up their copy a day earlier than the release(I don’t think gamestop planed it that way just someone being stupid)

The bastards at gamestop told me they'd have it at midnight of the 16th. Whether they'll actually be open then is unknown to me. In fact, i need to go call them dipsh*ts right now and see whats up.

 

The reason I'm downing those retards is because when I went to reserve my copies of GTA, they were totally trying to tell that Halo 3 would be the better way to go since I told them my money is too tight to buy a lot of games early on once I get a console.
