GRAN TURISMO CHAT TOPIC

Well since the Xbox boys are happy with Forza 2, I felt like it's time for the Sony rev-heads to chat about their driving sim, Gran Turismo. You can talk about anything about Gran Turismo, like GT4, the GT HD Demo, or even GT1. (If anyone can share therir GT4 photos that would be good) Something's has been bugging me, though. Since this a car sim racing game, should this topic be in Gaming Chat or Vehicle Talk?

the GT4 topic hit 100some pages when it was released, GT:HD is a sh*tty tech demo, GT:4 mobile is perpetually 6 months away, and GT:5 is years away

Oi, Gran Turismo hd is not bad at all, I can't stop playing it, I think it's really good.

Oi, Gran Turismo hd is not bad at all, I can't stop playing it, I think it's really good.

its good, its the basics of GT with absolutley amazing graphics, but its not a game. its a tech demo.

 

you can't race even AI cars head to head. its just a small time trial, one car, no challenge tech demo.

 

its a taste, a teaser, GT:5 is scheduled for Q1 08, meaning it should hit somewhere around 2010

I will admit though, regardless of anything, the gta-hd demo was addictive.

I found GT:HD really boring

and deleted it within a few days.

replay value is extremely short, unless you like beating yourself or others online by milliseconds/drift points

 

there's something about GT4 that can't bring me to loving it like GT3 or GT2, the physics are imo an improvement and the car selection is ok (muscle cars ftw) but I dunno, guess finishing licenses gets extremely tedious after doing it for nearly 9 years

I liked the very first title, but I didn't care so much for the Second game. I was more fond of Mario Kart, it has bitches and Red Shells.

Man, agreed. Hopefully GT5 will actually be inspirational...well, can always hope.

 

I do love playing GT:HD on a KDL40W when I'm meant to be working though. Paid to play High-Def GT? Win.

Yeah but GT:HD is simply GT4 with higher detailed car models and some small little extra's right? It still has the ugly tracks and background.

 

I am glad GT5 is a long way off, it will give me plenty of time for the PS3 to be worth the money as it will have come down by the time the game comes out.

Nae, GT:HD is one track (version we run anyways) with 10 cars, available as either stock or tuned for time trials or tuned for drift trials...peds look good too etc.
