Mokiesmoky
Okay so my comp had a virus and i rebooted my comp and deleted everything. Then my audio doesn't work even though my speakers are plugged in correctly. Any suggestions on how to fix it? Primer43
You are probably missing an audio driver. Try going to Start --> Right Click on: My Computer --> Properties --> Click the Hardware Tab then Click Device Manager. IF you something like Multimedia Audio Controller and a yellow ! next to it, that is the problem. Usually when you purchase a computer the drivers are located on a restore CD, such as Dell's Resource CD. Sometimes they are located on a motherboard CD. If you don't have a CD go to your Manufacturer's website and go to the drivers or downloads section. Enter you PC's model number and download the audio driver from there. Also make sure the Sound Card is seated properly. Good Luck. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/280102-audio-problem/#findComment-4269118 Share on other sites

Primer43
What kind of computer do you have? And Model Number. Ex. Dell Dimension 3500 or Hewlet Packard Pavilion 5200. gillies
There are lots of programs that could give you the same info but this one is small, cpu-z (430 KB) Unzip and run it and click the mainboard tab, using what it says in manufacturer+model search and you should be able to find a page of drivers somewhere for the motherboard which should include the sound driver.
