evilrex
Hi, I'm looking for a graphics card that can run SA smoothly when the game is set to a screen high-resolution, with 32 bit, full Effects (shadows, grass, ect..), and full draw distance enabled. I was thinking about having a GeForce 7600 512mb, but I was really hoping you guys could help me out a little. My system specs if necessary: * Operating system: Windows XP (SP2 ?) * Video/Graphics card type + graphics memory: ATI Radeon 9250 (256mb) * Processor: AMD Athlon 64 * RAM: 512mb Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/280034-graphic-card-recommendations/ Share on other sites
Girish
GeForce 7600 will do fine. But what's wrong with your ATI Radeon 9250 graphic card? It should work perfectly fine too. Or for that matter, any good graphic card with a minimum memory of 128 MB will work.(this is the recommended requirement) Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/280034-graphic-card-recommendations/#findComment-4269299 Share on other sites
Demarest
This is not a Troubleshooting thread. I have a Radeon 9700 Pro 128MB and run the game at 1280x1024x16 with 2x AF and 4x AA. The game runs flawlessly and looks great. What you already have should be fine. evilrex
Well with my current card I have that "black road" problem which is mentioned in this topic: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=279911 and when I enable grass and shadows my game lags. Also, when I enable Anti Aliasing my screen turns orange and I can't see anything.... p.s. sorry for putting this in the wrong section. Demarest
Well the black roads isn't a problem. Take a book in front of you and begin to lay it down while looking at the cover. The closer it gets to being perfectly flat in front of you, the more compressed the visuals are interpreted in your brain. It's a fact of physics and in this case, it's not at all a problem. Orange screen? Yikes! Are you using current drivers? If so, have you tried rolling back to older ones? evilrex
I'm using the latest drivers and haven't really considered rolling-back to the old ones... and is it really a good idea? I've heard it can make games not respond properly. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/280034-graphic-card-recommendations/#findComment-4270276 Share on other sites
Demarest
I'm using video card drivers that are 3.5 years old As for would I recommend that, you're describing a visual anamoly I've never heard of. That's just one way of attempting to address it. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/280034-graphic-card-recommendations/#findComment-4270381 Share on other sites
