Money Money Money!

Recommended Posts

Didn't r* say that Niko won't exactly become a billionare in the game? I think that the money system will work like gtaIII; You only need it for weapons, and cars.

that would be crap i would like it so you could buy stuff for your house and the most rare cars you can buy.

With Rock* saying it is alot more harder to be a criminal these days, a thought just sprung to mind

If you were issued with say a £2000/dollar fine for getting arrested, or for whatever else, perhaps every new day in the game it would automatically take off £100 from you however much money you happened to have, therefore meaning you would have to try and keep your money at a level higher than what they are taking off

if that made any sense well done lol.gif

Topher Ridge

I think they will finally start pricing things realistically. I hated going the discount clothing store in SA and buying a shirt that costed 40 dollars. I think now in a discount store it will be like 10 dollars, so now they can distribute money in a mor realistic way.

You should be able to pay people to do things for you, like a hit or whatever. Maybe pay some street urchin to wash your car. I hated the way CJ had to do everything, even after becoming a millionaire.

tbh i thought cj was a little bitch

Niko will never be a millionaire though. I like the idea of this next game, being a low-life criminal from start to finish.

In Gta SA I found i had to much money and not enough things to do with it.

I was thinking In GTA4 we could buy furniture

if u make the houses customizable it will make the game to much like the sims id jus rather stick to the missions

Instead of buying furniture piece by piece upgrade your safe house like in X box's Fable: TLC.

tony da boss

They should sort of combine the two money systems from San andreas, and Vice City. In Vice City, you struggled for money, but there wasn't much to spend it on except for assets. But in San Andreas, there were tons of things to spend money on, but by the end of the game you were a billionare. As long as they don't bring back the GTA III money system, in which you $1500 dollars in the first mission for picking up some girl at the clinic, then I'll be okay.

Ok, why are people trying to turn this into the sims and a tycoon-like game? We need to keep it GTA People!!! angry.gif

There's been a constant array of that BS, but I don't think you should be so angry. tounge.gif

This "Things Will Be Different" statement has gotten people to think about minimal activities such as going to the bathroom and getting married.

Now that I'm done with rambling, maybe I can get back on topic. smile.gif

I expect missions to give you less money and charge more for other objects such as safehouses.

Also, buying cars is a good idea if implemented a la Saint's Row.

You could purchase sports cars, exotic cars, and luxury cars that were very rare.

The price range was from $5,000-$100,000.

GTA Thug 4 Life

Ever since gta 3 I was hoping for a new money system, and Im dissapointed since.

In my opinion it could truly bring a new element to the game.

Since Gta1 I never was interested in the GTA money, because it simply felt like it grew on trees.

In my whole gta history, and thats a long history.

I never had the need for money, I never was short on the dough.

Missions shouldn't give you 2000 bucks for bringing a hooker home, but instead you would have to struggle for your money.

Money which in my opinion is needed for primary goals like missions and weapons/ammo. and secundairy goals like some of the things you guys mentioned. Paying for a hit, cars, clothing.

Like when Im seeing my Niko walking in old clothes, and I walk in the cloth store with 100 bucks in my wallet.

I'll start thinking, Hmm I might need that for ammo for that hit I had to do or something in that direction.

So in this case I would not do taxi missions, burglaries only for fun or because I would like to complete the game to 100%

No! In this case I will do things like burglaries, transport, and hopefully robberies and the feature to mug people because I simply need the money.

And with needing I mean really needing, not because I want to buy that shirt worth 5000 bucks or that house for 100.000. But small things like a new handgun.

This would just make robberies, hits so different.

You know you have a goal, you need that money.

So stealing money in the game will really make you feel liek you are actually stealing money.

I totally agree with you GTA Thug 4 Life. In most GTA games I had, I never got past the level needed for a 100% game completion before completing the final mission and being forced to do it out of boredom.

There should be more stuff like having to pay $100 000 for a mission, like in GTA 3.

Also, I'd absolutely love to see you having to pay for hits. I really hated how in most GTA's, you do virtually everything, and your gang just hang around like little bitches!

You should be able to organise hits, kind of like that GTA 2 promotional film. Go to some seedy gang hang-out, pay them with money of drugs then maybe drive them to the hit location.

You should also see them doing the hit. You either just casually walk behind them as they are doing it, pretending you have nothing to do with any of it, or even better, seeing it in like a different camera, so you know what to change it it goes wrong. It's also fun seeing a bunch of your hitmen walking into a police station, causing chaos while trying to kill the leader, then being killed one-by one. devil.gifcool.gif
