can't cheat

I finally went out and bought GTA SA and started playing the game through. I had played it at a friends house and seen hime do all these tricks and what not. I have beat the game once, but now I'm just tring to have some fun. I wanted to use the INF Ammo cheat to just go blow away some ballers, but the game won't activate the cheat. When I tries to save, it says that I have cheated, but never gave me the INF ammo. My friends got all these things like INF Ammo, GOD Mode, Car spawns, and so on and she just enters them in and goes. She says "why not try a trainer?" Did that, like 10 of them. Depending on which one I use, depends on what sound I get when I hit a hot key. Nothing works. Does anyone have any idea how I could fix this?

My only guess is not to try it inside a building, as it will not say "Cheat Activated" in the top right of the screen. Either that or you accidentally typed it in twice and deactivated it again. Try other cheats and see if they work.

what is the cheat u used, cuz, INF Ammo has 2 cheats, one, im not sure if it really works, and the other one is "FULLCLIP", try that one......and if it don't work, i don't no ehat to tell ya'
