VCS Underworld Enterance

Gantons Most Wanted

hey welcome to the topic. As those who have played the original VC may know that if you had a helicopter you could fly through the ceiling of the bridges over the water, And get into the underworld. Well it seems this is still possible to do in VCS by using the Little Willie.

The places where you can get a Little Willie is at the Clymenus Suite on the roof and in the Junkyard. Once you have one go to the Bridge on the right of Prawn Island. Once you fly underneath the bridge acend in height and then you in then headto the right and it will lead to the underworld. But at a certain point the heli will get stuck and you will be required to push it a bit. Then you will be in the underworld first decend a little because if you don;t and fly towards the 1st island the chopper will get stuck in the water. Now VCS's underworld is yours to explore by doing this i have been able to enter the Mendez Mansion and The Stadium. i found the basement interior for the stadium aswell but there was no possible way to enter.

For getting inside the interior of the Mendez Mansion land the little wille on the east side of it then one of the roof areas should be weak and you will fall through into the interior if you want to get out you will need a super jump cheat of some sort. To enter the Stadium just fly into it because its not entirely solid. Sorry if this has already been found out in VCS i looked around and saw no mention of this at all. And sorry its so sketchy its late here and i thought i'd post it up before someone else finds it out. Enjoy

right i'll sort that map tommorow for the enterance and the 3 interiors i've found. And the Barracks safehouse probably not as that loads up in a completely different time because its located within the actual building itself. The admin building i'm not sure might be there the Stallionz Bar might be down there aswell. And yes its the bridge to the right of prawn island.

Thanks Berkley biggrin.gif i was just trying to think on how to get down there without a cheat device to teleport there. But for the Little Willie i had a code on my AR MAX so it was indestructible made things simpler. I have a theory on how to get to the Barracks safehouse well how to unlock it again but i can't test my theory until the mission codes are working for the region of cheat device i have.

BOB THE CHEAT

cool. I have found out how to get to the west island underworld. Here it goes:get the skimmer and fly west over starfish island, past diaz's place the tall building near the hospital, thats your target it's abve the height limit so go past diaz's place and pull up so it slowly rises above the building , the building has no roof and no floorso once your at the the edge of the roof , aim down and you should go down into blue hell/underworld. hope this helps biggrin.gifmoto_whistle.gif

Great find Gantons Most Wanted icon14.gif

Following on Gantons Most Wanted’s tip, herewith are some screenies how to take a little trip underground Vice City. Images were taken with a camera phone, so please bear with the quality. Most of the infos here are essentially based on what GMW has provided. You can access some interiors also via gray hell. So far, only three have been found, two of which were also used in some missions: the underground mall, the Mendez mansion and the Stadium.

Only way to explore gray hell is by flying, and nothing has been found so far of any invisible solid paths that you can load and use to go from one place to another, like in LCS, although some aspects of the method work basically the same. Flying is the only way to tour the underground and the best aircraft for this is the Little Willie because of its small size, which is necessary for entering a narrow passage of the portal to underground. Any bigger vehicle can get stuck and damaged.

It might be good also to have with you any first person aiming weapon, like a sniper rifle or rocket launcher, for you might need this when you reach the narrow portion of the passage near the edge. Particularly, there will come a point when your angle of view will collide with the surface of the bridge, and you will be locked on seeing the aboveground only. Aiming with a sniper rifle or rocket launcher will switch back your view underneath.

1. So far, one point of entry has been found only by Gantons Most Wanted, and this is located at the east end of the Eastern Island to Prawn Island bridge.

user posted image

2. Take a Little Willie and fly underneath the bridge which is non-solid and has a hallow structure.

user posted image

3. Fly through the bridge, ascend a little and you should go inside a space that’s just big enough for the small aircraft to navigate.

user posted image

4. Continue flying towards the eastern direction, ahead of you you’ll find an opening that leads to gray hell. The space underneath the bridge may look wide at the start; then it will become narrower as you approach the edge, but it will open a little wider again, big enough or you to fly through once you’re by the gray hell’s opening. The only safely passable path would be by following the route directly under the center yellow line of the road above you.

user posted image

5. Near the edge, expect your gyro to get stuck, but don’t panic. You can try gaining some speed and forcibly squeeze your vehicle through it, but if this wouldn’t work, don’t force it or you’ll just destroy your vehicle. Instead, get off the Little Willie and carefully push it lenghtwise towards the edge. Pushing it lenghtwise will make it slide easier, given that the gyro has wheels. If at a certain point you clip through the surface of the bridge and your angle of view gets disoriented and locked to seeing only the aboveground, use any of your first person aiming weapon to revert back your camera view underneath.

6. First thing to do once you’re in gray hell is to load the invisible structures so that you can find the places with enterable interiors. You can do this by approaching the underground “branch” of the Vice Point mall, which is located almost directly down below where you’re positioned.

Your marker for the mall’s location are some trees that you can find a bit to your left from your point of view when you drop down into gray hell. Approach the trees and the mall will load. This mall has a non-solid roof that you can fly through and enter its interior. You can find most of the usual things there but there are no activities in this mall however, since it doesn’t load as a normal part of the game. No entrance or exit doors as well. Rampage icon is there and you can start it, but you won’t be able to get out and do any rampage. BMX bike is there too but it won’t start the side mission.

If you try to fly immediately to the locations without loading the structures, you will encouter this barrier instead, which is actually a portion of the island coastline. Approaching this will result in your drowning, and you won’t be able to get off your vehicle that will eventually lead to your getting wasted.

7. Next is to locate the Mendez mansion. Mark it on the map and just go to the locsation.

8. Enter the mansion via a bluish room that has a non-solid roof. Fly carefully down there and you will end up in a room barely big enough to accomodate the Little Willie, which is the room where you start off the mansion mission “Domo Arigato Domestoboto”.

9. From gray hell viewpoint, the stadium looks like a big gray funnel with a concrete ring around its bottom.

user posted image

10. The stadium interior can be accesssed by flying underneath it where the structure is soft, but it’s probably better to go via the western side, as doing so on the other sides will almost always spawn you back aboveground, whether you fly down too low or fly near the exterior of the structure.

user posted image

11. Fly up through the center of the stadium and you will find yourself inside it. The ground near the stage that is fenced off is solid, as well as most of the part that you’ve seen in the mission.

yes its still possible its just the bridge part where you'll have to be careful. because at a certain point you will have to push the little willie closer to the edge so you can start to fly in the underworld or greyhell as Loco named it.

great find dudes smile.gif im using the cheatdevice and the "Step thru Wall" & "Hover Cars" cheat do "drive" to the interiors.

I was at the Mendez building and the stadium. I also searched for the Stallions Bar and some other, but still found nothing.. rahkstar2.gif

greetz

EDIT: wohooo, i found also ANOTHER way to the underworld: take a fast car (Infernus, Phoenix or similar) and drive fast as you can from the Malibu Club to the Empire Building near the Vice Point Mall. You will see, that the Building isnt loaded complete and not solid. Now drive "into" the building thru the wall and wait until it load. After it loads, try to drive and you will "pop down" into the underworld. Now get out of your car and wait... After this you will in the interior of the Vice Point mall.

^^ This works sometimes, and sometimes not.

have phun @ underworld smile.gif

nice and there is a way into the basement if you have the psp version with the walk through walls cheat then you could get past that barrier.

there might be other interiors down there in the underworld but the people with the psp could use walk through walls inside the interiors to see if any others load up in the same interior.
