darthYENIK
This is the moment I've been waiting to cream my jeans at. Today Star Wars: The Clone Wars the new computer generated animated television show's trailer is up. Take a look here. It looks f*cking amazing. Anakin jumping from droid to droid in mid flight was pretty cool.
WidowMaker
Will Star Wars fans be able to accept such abundant use of CGI? Oh wait...

Andyzoot
Is this the TV series that there's been much talk about recently? I had heard snippets of info but I always thought it was a live action TV series
tuareg
Never liked Star Wars. Never really understood it to be honest. But if it makes you guys happy then .
Waddy
Suppose it looks ok for what its supposed to be. Cant expect perfection, surprised they didn't do a real series though, maybe that would just be to expensive. What channel has got it? Has that been said yet? darthYENIK
Don't worry guys, I'm here with the scoop. Yes they have this show lined up, and almost ready to go (except the fact that they don't have a network to pick it up yet). But they also have a Live Action show in the works. The only thing known about the live action show is that it will be set in between the trilogies, and will most likely feature jedis that are on the run after having escaped Order 66. It's also supposed to have cameos from classic movie characters, but no one big, probably people like Boba Fett. Anyway. I really like how The Clone Wars isn't going to have super realistic characters, which I'm sure ILM could do. But I'm happy that they went with more of "Pixar-esqe" looking characters. Andyzoot
Do you know how many of the film's cast are lending their voices to this show? That's obviously Frank Oz doing Yoda and Anakin sounds pretty accurate so it could be Hayden Christensen and I wouldn't be surprised if Anthony Daniels put his C3P0 -ness into it. But I want to know if Ewan Mcgregor is in it really.
Piranha.
Wow that looks really awesome, I can't wait until this is aired. Loved the Clone Wars series so this should be just as good if not better.
Rown
All I need to know... is that I think I'm going to love this series. Heard rumors they were shooting for 100 episodes. If each is 30 minutes, then that means 50 hours (or just over 2 days) worth of Star Wars. In comparison, all the movies combined have a length of: Episode I: 133= 2 hours 13 minutes Episode II: 142= 2 hours 22 minutes Episode III: 140= 2 hours 20 minutes Episode IV: 123= 2 hours 3 minutes Episode V: 129= 2 hours 9 minutes Episode VI: 136= 2 hours 16 minutes 13 hours 23 minutes If the amount of televised episodes is right, the show will have 37 more hours of Star Wars than the movies. My God... this is going to be fun. Rown

But at least that Anakin's voice is better sounding than the 2D Clone Wars cartoon's
Striker*
Whoa. Looks pretty cool. I hope they let General Grievous redeem himself from the movies (since he won't be injured yet).
Rown
Actually I've heard that both Frank Oz and Anthony Daniels will be doing voices. They seem to be making more of the new stuff at a higher quality. With Force Unleashed getting the movie treatment with books, toys, and such and the shows getting the actual actors... this is gonna be good. darthYENIK
Really. That's cool. I'm glad they can get someone.
Piranha.
Exactly what period is this set in....as in what part of the Clone Wars? @Striker*: Hell yeah! I hope to god they portray as he is meant to be, a cold psychotic murderer, unlike the bitch he was in the film. Edited May 29, 2007 by Piranha. Rown
I'm just guessing that it takes place throughout the three years of the war. I mean if you are making a series you probably don't want to limit yourself to the first 5 weeks. Also, super lasers ftw. Rown

Rown Yeah that would make sense to go through the whole war, it would be very, very cool aswell to have a fully detailed series depicting every little detail of the Clone Wars, which was a pretty interesting time in the Star Wars Universe. Hopefully a network picks this up soon.
darthYENIK
The way I hear it, they aren't even looking for a network yet, But they have a few episodes already in the can.
