Nooby PC Game question

Where is a place I can legally purchase and download PC games that are impossible to find in stores anymore?

 

I'm trying to get some old Ps2 ports on PC and apart from amazon, I can't seem to find out how to go about getting them.

 

EDIT: I realize I could probably google and find something, but I'd rather hear from someone who regularly uses one and can vouch for it.

I have used Steam to buy games, some old some new, i dunno if any of the games you are looking for are on there, but you could try it, i know recently they added some old PC/PS games like Commandos, Civilization 3, Hitman and Tomb Raider Legend (well not exactly that old).

If you have HL2, CSS etc... you should already have a Steam Account.

Sounds like second-hand and Ebay territory to me, it seems any of the legal direct2download systems only cater for current games.

I thought you couldn't second-hand PC games? Or is that just recent ones?

Don't know where you heard that, trading in/on-selling/swapping used games is commonplace.
