MC.
Yes I got very pissed off when I just found out I got 98% after I finished "Keep Your Friends Close". I checked to see if there was any side missions in my stats and PCJ Playground, Checkpoint Charlie, RC Baron Race, RC Bandit Race & Dirtring wasn't there even when I beaten them. I did PCJ Playground, RC Baron Race & RC Bandit Race again, I passed those missions and it appeared in my stats but I still didn't get past 98%. Please help. =( Edited May 27, 2007 by MC_320
radioman
This thread should help. It is titled "Stuck at 99%" Spuds created this for these type of questions. It's right after Fuzzy's unique jumps guide in the topic. One question though, did you do the shooting range and get a 45 or better score in 1 round apart from the mission "the shootist"? that is an easily missed item. Hope this helps. Spuds725
Rifle range is the most frequently missed-- But 98% means you are missing at least one other thing (possibly 2).... Check out my "stuck at 99% guide" link above (link is also in my sig)-- it should help-- please let me know if it does. Essentially it is a 100% checklist, but I pared down everything that would not be the last thing in a string of things you had to do--- example--- Final Story mission complete would mean you had definitely done all the Vercetti missions and all the Printworks missions (since these are all required in order to complete the story missions). It also gives you a quick check on whether you had done the rifle range or not-- Rifle range is very difficult on PS2... and is NOT in your stats. MC.
What the heck? You're not talking about the hit rate right? Cause I got 80 in that part. Unless you actually have to get 45 points when you have to beat the score of 30 points?

Unless you actually have to get 45 points when you have to beat the score of 30 points? He didn't say The Shootist. He said Rifle Range. After you complete The Shootist, you need to complete the Rifle Range. Another commonly overlooked item is that you only need to place 3rd to pass HOTRING, but you need to finish 1st to get credit towards 100%. Spuds725
What he said... Go back to Ammunation downtown and enter the pink marker in back... score 45 or greater (not the % hit rate) to enable fast reload-- this contributes to 100%. This is VERY difficult on PS2-- I don't think I've ever got more then 48 on that. MC.
Ok I got 46 on Rifle Range and I got that fast reloading thing but I still had 98%. But when I completed Keep Your Friends Close, I got 99%. Any more suggestions to help? Thanks on Rifle Range suggestion though. Oh yeah and on Checkpoint Charlie, I have the asset that gives me money since I've beaten it before but Checkpoint Charlie isn't in my stats. I also beat the 2 RC missions that didn't appear in my stats but I didn't get a percentage. Edited May 31, 2007 by MC_320

The Checkpoint charlie stat thing should be there if the boatyard is producing money?? If something is not in your stats that is supposed to be there, it will prevent 100%... You have times for each of the RC's now?? If there is no time for checkpoint charlie, just do it again-- the boat on the left is faster although it does not urn as good. Did you check out my 99% checklist-- it tells you specifically what to check in your stats and outside the stats?? The tic marks are for you to check off stuff as you check your game save. To Spuds725: Yes I checked your checklist, it helped me with the checking my stat thing. The only things that was missing was PCJ Playground (even though I beat it once) & Rifle Range. Luckily, I reloaded the game and did those tasks before doing the mission "Keep Your Friends Close". Then after I beat that last storyline mission, I got 100% just like what I do in my other GTA games. WHOO! YEAH. To Ring_Of_Fire: Yeah I just got it yesterday. No cheats used and I never got wasted and busted in any of my GTA games that has 100%. =D To BixDugan: No. Never busted. Sorry. I would like to thank these people for helping me complete GTA: Vice City 100%: Spuds725 Demarest Radioman GTA_Loco Thank you very much people. Demarest
Sometimes we do a side mission and then reload. Messes with your head, I know. Congrats on pinning down the culprit and showing it who's boss!
radioman
Congratulations on the 100%. I figured it might of been the shooting range, because I made the same mistake on my first time through the game at 100%.
BixDugan
MC- My post referred to fact that you already claimed to have VC 100% complete in your signature. Unless this is a revisit to VC, and you already 100%ed on a previous game, it appeared that you were caught in a lie. Thats all. No big thing. And Congrats!
