I have few cars from sin, ferrari and lancia and some others. With ferrari and lancia delta I have problem cars are fine and working but when I would take them to the shop to get new paint job the hood on the car stays open. I would like some one to help me with this if you can. I am not sure what coses the problem since I have no original cars left in the game. I did try to install cars in place of asined cars and nothing it is strange I can not see the reason for cars to do what they do. Thanks to all for help, thanks so much. rahkstar2.gif

Unfortunately, this is the VC Troubleshooting Forum and not the VC Modding Forum. I am not a moderator here, so Fuz & Spuds will have to direct you or move this thread to another forum.

I would say uninstall the mod, and uninstall/reinstall the game to get back the originals... turn.gif

The first rule of modding is BACKUP. That's to avoid having to uninstall and reinstall the game. All he'd need to do is either swap the files back with the originals, or swap the files back with the originals within one of the libraries.

Oh yeah, and if one wants to make this whole process easier, one would backup the main game folder and put it in the Recycle Bin. Now all you have to do is click on "Restore all items" and voila! rah.gif

With your code tools Demarest, I just delete the "main.scm" file and put it in the Recycle Bin. Rename the

.scm to [main].scm -> much much easier. Also, I think it depends on certain mods: some mods places totally different game files in the folder, so then this method described above already wouldn't work (but that would be pretty dumb of a modder).

Well, my TFB game remake for SA places a new TXD library in a folder. If a person is done playing TFB, they don't have to do anything with that file. Because only the TFB main.scm calls upon it. This will be true of most files that are just added. Most modding takes place by ways of replacing files or replacing files in libraries. So reversing those steps is all you would need. Exceptions being TC's such as RealGTA3 and GTA:LC. In which cases, you should always just duplicate your game folder and only modify the one. In fact, I've always given that advice to modders. At one point, I had ten copies of GTA3 on my hard drive, each with something different installed.

Backing up the whole game folder for a mod WILL work. Bit overblown though. One really only needs to backup the /data/, /models/ and /TEXT/ folders. Or more to the point, just the files they plan on altering.

Well that is somthing also that cars do have wierd things to do, any how I do have another question which is dose VC has limit on how many mods can be put in the game, I do know of duplicate files so can put in there any kind of mod because they can come in conflict with some other ones. I wanted to know abaout the limit since I hit wall at this point I can not install much more of modes in the game I have about 6116 files in the gta3 IMG file and I would like to install some new ones but when I would put them in the game would not start, I did try to check with moomaper 0.94 no errors of any kind but still it would not play. VC as nao it is fine no problems only when I would install new files. I did do mod the game a lot no original cars, bikes, plains, and few maps one of them is pridrograd which is awsom and some other things, if any one can help me please let me know since there is so much space in the game that I would like to put in new things, and thanks to all for help so much. rahkstar2.gif
