RoAcHcliP
Just got back from seeing this. It was quite long but for the most part it was very good. Im not happy with orlando bloom being captain of the flying dutchman but then again ive never even liked him as a pirate. The special effects were awesome, the end action scene was jaw dropping. Truly epic. Barbosa and sparrow kicked major ass. What did you lot think? Edited May 24, 2007 by RoAcHcliP

papanesta
Was absolutely brialliant. The girlie friend and I loved it! And as was said, the final battle is spectacular, epic on a scale not really seen since LoTR.
Rown
I enjoyed it and liked it... but did anyone else feel the storyline was a little rushed and confused? I don't know. Too much happening with not enough back story. But don't let that fool you, I still liked it. Who stayed for after the Credits? 10 years. Blackadder.
I haven't seen it yet, but my sister saw it and she hated it. Said that it was dragged out and the last 1/2 hour was the only good bit. Also that the movie had no real storyline (Or something) She hasn't even seen DMC... I'll see it though. someday...
-slash
It took a fair bit of concentration to follow the storyline, but I managed. So if you're a moron and want to complain about not understanding the story line, watch something like Epic Movie instead That said, I loved it. Definitely a bit long, probably could have cut some bits. The end battle was awesome. Beautifully shot in places, CGI was brilliant as it has been throughout the series. Definitely left the door open to a 4th. Thought it was cool in a way that Will is captaining the Dutchman now. I mean it's a f*cking badass ship who wouldn't want to? And anyway, there's a scene at the end of the credits, and well, to quote wikipedia: After the credits, in a scene captioned "Ten Years Later," a young boy nine years and three months of age is seen singing "A Pirates Life for Me" as Elizabeth walks behind him. It is implied that this is the child of Will and Elizabeth. The sun sets followed by a green flash and Will, on the mast of The Dutchman, sails towards the shore. According to the film's writers, the curse of The Dutchman is broken if, after the ten years, the captain's lover remains faithful. The final post-credit scene suggests that Will can now return to land, as Elizabeth has remained faithful. The green flash, which symbolises a soul returning from the dead, supports this theory. Apparently, a scene of dialogue between Tia Dalma/Calypso and Davy Jones, which explained this, was cut from the film, leading to confusion about the ending. Recommended. Kippers
Personally i think they should leave it at the 3. As much as i would love to see a forth, i think 3 is just perfect for a series like Pirates. 習うより慣れろ
Piranha.
Finaly saw it there yesterday and I have got to say...this movie kicks some major ass! The fina battle scene is without a doubt one of the best its kind and the effects are jaw dropping. This movie was also very very funny in my opinion, I don't know how many times myself and my friends aughed out loud. One of the funniest bits is where Barbossa is trying to marry Will and Elizabeth during the final battle, There is just something crazy about Barbosaa and his laugh is just awesome. Well worth watching.
makeshyft
There were parts I liked, and parts I didn't. The, "Now we're being followed by rocks" sequence entertained me so much I felt I got what I paid for.

Digïtál £vîl
I just obtained a copy of this movie on my computer by less then legal means. I plan to watch it while partaking in an activity with an illegal substance that is not allowed in the United States. Hopefully it will be good. PS: And no, I'm actually going to go watch it in theaters. haha
Guglielminpietro
It was pretty good, but also.. a bit sh*t. Lots of implausible storyline elements, not least the part when calypso is released, causing her to turn into a giant, then explode into lots of crabs. f*cking lot of use that was. And I thought that sequence with the hundreds of Jack Sparrow's on the ship went on far too long, especially when you consider the film was like 2 and 3 quarter hours. All the comedy was top notch though, making the film enjoyable nonetheless. I'd still recommend it though. (I didn't catch the extra scene, as I'd already been sat there long enough that I couldn't be arsed sitting through 10 minutes of credits as well.) Doink
There are rumors that the 4th pirate movie is currently being written, but I won't believe it until there is an official press release. Although, Depp has strongly hinted at a 4th movie. That being said, this was my favorite movie in the series. Saw it Thursday at midnight, didn't get out until around 3:30 am. Had work to go to at 9 that morning, hehe. Well worth it though. I plan on seeing it again in theaters. RoAcHcliP
I really like these pirates films. I feel that the third one was more mythological, and didnt share as much of the swashbuckling pirateyness of dead mans chest. I really liked the tilting the ship upside down. Davey jones locker was a trip too, quite surreal for a while there.

speekers
Well, I saw it and thought it was extremely boring, up until the ending. Which kicked ass. But the story was too far fetched with WAY too many characters and alot of protaginists were killed off including norrington, davy jones, beckett and the chinese dude. I really didn't like it. Along with Spiderman 3, don't spend your money on it. Go rent it and watch it. No way in Hell should there be a sequal, even though the 10 years and Ponce De' Leon thing. Bartleby
The story was rather complex, but i tihnk i figured it out. What story? I thought the movie was entertaining for sure, but it definitely lacked in plot. I didn't think it was complex, I thought it was lacking. A lot of things weren't sufficiently explained (yes, even after waiting around after the credits). It got way too cliche near the end as well. I mean, come on, Barbosa is such a badass, is it really within his character to wed Will and Elizabeth in an impromptu fasion? And don't get me started on Elizabeth Swan the Pirate King, I didn't buy that for a second. I liked it as a one-time watch. I wasn't necessarily looking for depth, and I didn't get it.
