muleskinner
The game plays fine except when either it is raining, there is a big car crash on the free way, or when I drive down the strip at Las Ventures. Is this a frame rate issue? My system is.... Dell XPS 400. P4, at 3G dual core. Geforce 6800 graphics, 1G of ram. On board sound. I'm not much of a tech head on computers but it seems that my system Should play this game well. When it is raining is not too bad, but I have just about avoided the strip at LV. I dunno if its all the lighting or what ? Anyone know a tweak that might stop this? Thanks!!
Toni.Cipriani
Here's a better place to ask/post your topic: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showforum=137\ Have you checked your "play" disk, by the way? For scratches?
Brutuz
Thats weird, how are your Drivers?, Try and reinstall them. I have a 6800 GfX card (Normal PC though) and a single core AMD CPU, I get 25fps all the time.

Nothing I do seems to help.
muleskinner
Hey! I found a fix guys. It turned out to be my sound card. I have Sigmatel on-board sound. I googled Sigmatel and found the same type of issues. All I had to do was turn my sound device acceleration off. Plays like a dream now. I hope this might help out someone else down the line.
