Suction Testicle Man Posted May 24, 2007 Share Posted May 24, 2007 Since I'm moving my GTAGB project to a different platform rather than GTA, I'm going to be moving my cars and models etc to it too. Thus the few cars I had made for it that are virtually completed as SA mods I'm going to release. Here's one I made ages ago. Approx. 5000 polys including wheels. Have fun. The surrounding headlight covers are already messy in poly structure, and I don't want to end up with corruptions. Starion - Old style plates (before XX99 XXX) were always introduced in August, and continued to July the next year. So X Reg went from August '81 to July '82. Oh, and another thing, will you make the right exhaust's for the car? It has pipes either side, right near the edge me-thinks. A small engine retexture to go with that and it will be puurfect. If I wanted to make it an identical representation I'd have to redo the whole car (just look at the interior). Though the car is a mix and mash of several Capris models and years, I put the best bits imo together. The 2.8i wheels were damn ugly I reckon, so I put those better looking ones on. As for twin exhausts - I was pretty sure that was an aftermarket addition many made, but feel free to correct me - I don't know a huge amount about Capris.. yet (plan to buy one very soon). As for the platform I'm moving to; I'm afraid that's all under wraps for the moment, and it's not even fully confirmed yet. San Andreas had a lot of limits to it that were causing problems, and new technologies are being developed all the time that would dwarf GTAGB's release for a 5 year old game engine. An opportunity popped along and I took it. As a result I shouldn't have to rush to get the mod out before GTA4, since it should hopefully be on a similar par anyway. If all is successful with this new platform, then it's unlikely you'll see many more GTA mods from me, unless GTA4 comes with some kind of SDK. I will be releasing some more cars for SA from GTAGB soon - mainly Fords, but a few others are ready enough too. Stay tuned. If at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the test will be terminated. What about the pepperpot wheels that were seen on early 2.8's? Still the wheels that are on it now are fine. It's these wheels I don't like: I might do a v2 then. Duders - yup, got a mk3 Transit and am considering a mk6, as well as a Mondeo mk1. Both are bare models, not ready for a game. RELEASE IT NOW !!! ....sorry i get a bit excited about 80's - 90's fords... they are actually teh secks...and we get aLOT of old sierras, escorts, capris etc down on the coast.... Someone i used to know had an RS500 ...that was a beaut....at least i think thats what the RS number was for the sierra with the crazy spoiler.... andyways keep up the good work, brit cars FTW...and i hope you dont mind if i make your XR4i into an XR4x4? I always admired your British cars in Vice City, I hope you get those Transits, Mondeos and Escorts out, they are guaranteed a place in my game.
